Each mallet is turned from a single piece of rock maple, which eliminates a core that could rattle and the need for a screw-on washer to secure the head. Coupled with round seamless heads, they produce bigger and brighter sounds. T1 General Mallets are for all-around playing. They produce rich sound and are capable of rhythmic clarity. Recommend the entire Vic firth tympani line of mallets. These are good for most bands and some orchestral work.

Bought these to add some soft rolls on my Tom toms. Also for suspended cymbal rolls. Works great.

These are classic timpani mallets. Good for most pieces a beginner timpani player might encounter.
