A few weeks ago, I almost ended up in the hospital after my 40-year-old 16’ extension ladder kicked out from under me while I was 12’ up in the air. Once the shock of falling wore off, I examined the feet on the ladder and discovered they were almost slick.It was a little bit of a struggle to get the old ones off, but relatively easy to install these new ones. You get plenty of hardware, so regardless of your ladder design, you should be able to make these work.Unlike my old ladder feet, these new units have ground spikes that can be used to anchor the ladder when working on soil instead of a hard surface. The overall construction is very sturdy, and I feel confident these will outlive me.
