I installed the stabilizer as per instructions. During the first few uses of the stabilizers the leg extensions slide down while I was up on the ladder causing me to have to jump off ladder. I took them off immediately for safety purposes.

These will be used on a straight ladder that occasionally needs to be used sideways from an interior staircase, in a tall foyer. This is the safe way to do that job.Highly recommended.

I don't like taking chances when I am up high on a ladder. These ladder stabilizers are very well designed and help me when I am on uneven or soft ground. No more using a brick or peice of wood that is laying around.

They work to adjust for uneven surfaces, but the bolts are too long when installing on a standard aluminum ladder. Short bolts should be included for aluminum, and the long bolts will work best when installing on a wood ladder.
