This will be used in a camping setting so we didn't want to spend much more for the porcelain versions. It represents a good value for what our intended use is.

I got this to replace my 20 year old corn holders that were literally falling apart with each use. I was extremely please with the quality of this product. The little corn holders are sturdy, strong, and easy to pierce the ends of the corn. The dishes that hold the corn are thick clear plastic, so they are incredibly sturdy, and I don't see them breaking easily from an accidental fall like my previous ones. The butter spreaders are a nice touch, but it isn't anything we would be using.

My wife calls me a gadget-guy - an accurate description! I saw this and I thought it solved a problem, or at least what I saw as a problem, how to get butter on corn without a knife or (worse yet) spray butter substitute. This set comes with 12 heavy plastic corn holder, 24 (I think) corn holders, and finally, my favorite part, the butter holders.So, you have four plastic butter holders that you can easily store in the fridge. When you are ready to use, you take off the bottom cap, press on the top and you have a curved piece of butter to put on your corn. We used them for the first time last weekend, and we have a pool party/cookout this upcoming weekend, and they will be put to use by about 10 people. I think they will be a hit.
