There are stress cracks on threads of pressure pot that compromise seal. Bottom peice has spots were it is already cracked . Threads on pressure pot also have a big ding that compromise seal. See in pictures.

The spray gun worked alright to start with, but it's performance quickly declined. Now it can spray a nice fan on one trigger pull, and spit badly on the next. The gun is much larger and heavier than it needs to be also, and as you can see in the pictures has no air screw. I tried keeping an open mind when it first arrived, but now I'm convinced it's not worth the metal it's made from. The pressure-pot on the other hand functions better than more expensive ones I own. It would be a good investment if the gun wasn't so poorly designed.

I bought this to apply a stipple paint effect to a 2,500sf concrete pool deck but it worked so well that I also used it to apply the concrete stain and sealer. It saved me so much time and it got the finish into the cracks and recesses better than a roller. Really great value item.

Nice sprayer, takes some time to get used to it, practice. Make sure it’s filled half way all the time if not it will spray air bubbles.

I was a professional Industrial painter and wanted to take a minute and give feedback. This is a great gun for the money. The Pot and Gun for the price is a great for the DIYer. I have only used it spraying latex and primer. If you have never used this gun, set both dial (knobs) screwed all the way in. Turn top knob 1 full turn and this will be a circle pattern. 3 Full turns will be a fan. Bottom knob 1 turn is fairly light with paint. Each additional 1/4 turn will dramatically increase volume of fluid. Experiment.

i am by no means a painter, but, i am very mechanically inclined. i bought this sprayer to paint the exterior of my shop that is sided in LP SmartSide paneling. When i got the painter in, i read the manuals, then read them again, about 2 weeks later we purchased paint and finally had weather clear enough to paint in. took me about 5 minutes to get the sprayer spraying evenly. About the only thing i can give as a tip is to read the paint manufacturers direction on the use of their paint in a sprayer. i had to mix about 4oz of water per 2qts of paint to get it the right consistency. Oh, and while i was mixing paint i would put the nozzle of the paint sprayer in laquer/thinner while i was refilling and mixing. also, i ran almost an entire can of laquer/thinner through the system to clean it.

Nice spray gun . Used it on a brand new Cat D6 bulldozer right off the lot . We called it the dirt virgin.. the gun worked nice . It came with the 1.0 tip and worked great for clear .. I would definitely buy the warranty with it . I wouldn’t spray base thru it. It would be great for DuPont Imron or Allgrip. Highly recommend

Well, I'm impressed with this setup. I have a Binks Trophy gun, and I have it connected to a 2.5 gallon pot. Problem is, my fluid hose was toast and I couldn't find a replacement quick enough (well, I also wanted a secondary 2 quart pot), so I had to order this on the fly. Not only did it arrive after 2 days, but it got me out of a pickle. I used it to spray lacquer, and it did a great job. The gun is a little heavy (I am spoiled, though), but it still sprays like a champ. It gets a lot of air through it. The gun is pretty simple and it doesn't take a lot to get it clean. A nice feature is that I got lacquer on the pressure gauge and it didn't melt the plastic, which is great. The only problem I had was at one point it wouldn't spray material for anything. I found out that the vent on the pot itself had clogged, and just needed cleaning. I kept dunking it in thinner and blowing air through it (after removing it.) I thought I would share that in case it happens to anybody else! I sure would have liked to have known! As far as people saying this system can be awkward: all 2 quart pots are awkward. You just have to learn how to hold the hoses with the handle, and it's just fine. I definitely recommend this product.

Disclaimer: I am the worlds worst painter. My painting projects are always a disappointment.Over the years I have used Binks sprayers, airless and rattle cans. All have given mediocre results, malfunctions, or were a pain to clean up afterwards. Then I found this item. Since I have multiple air compressors from small to large, why not use their power to run a paint sprayer? No more bad airless motors to fail or gum up. This item has basically no moving parts (good) and is rather simple. It is rather clumsy with the paint pot, hoses and gun requiring management. If you use this in a stationary position it's not a big deal. If you use it like I did, going up and down repositioned ladders, it is more of an issue. This was used to apply fire retardant spray on wood siding. It worked FLAWLESSLY. Even better, it cleaned up like new. Sure I was using a water based product, but this thing really did a good job.Someone mentioned in another review they wished the pot had a gauge. The one I received has an adjustable regulator with gauge, making adjustments to the pressure a snap. No need to mess with your compressor. Just adjust the built in regulator. I also pre-strained the material before adding it to the pot. Also, I added an inline water separator just ahead of the pot. It caught quite a bit of water vapor so as not to dilute the applied product.
