Used on a 4l80, need to remove originalBushing and this slips in the trams case using o-rings which come on it already. It’s a pain to fill and leaks everywhere using the supplied filler adaptor, doesn’t seal at all but it is what it is.Very important to not go by the markings on this dipstick! The only way to ensure where the correct level is, remove the transmission pan, install the dipstick, makeSure it’s seated all the way in, and index the dipstick 1/4 inch above the trans oil pan and case mating surface. For a 4l80 it ended up being above the hot mark

First of all know, this dipstick will not use the factory dipstick seal. It replaces that with two O-rings. So this dipstick is wider. Sadly, not wide enough. I measured the factory seals diameter to be almost 1mm wider diameter than this dipsticks seals. This means this dipstick will fit loosely into the transmission dipstick hole. This 100% caused mine to leak. I did however find a remedy. I went to Home Depot and purchased an O-ring kit for $12. (Plastic storage box full of them). I removed the two O-rings that came on this one and replaced them with two bigger ones. Made the fit much tighter. So far so good. So is it worth the entire price? I would say yes. Total of about $35 invested with proper O-rings, still cheaper than $200 for a name brand. BE WARNED THIS THING GETS HOT. Use a glove or wrag to check it. Bottom line, I think it's a good deal. Let's see if this fix lasts. Seller needs to fix Oring size issue.

Tired of adding transmission fluid from UNDER your car? Some models you have to but IF this is installed, you can keep clean and enjoy the go.

Looks great, fits well, just on the short side. Not long enough for use on a fbody

Part that sticks into the trans is too wide. Doesn't fit. It's too long to guide into the hole, it always hit the bell housing and can't go in straight. Even after cutting it, soaking it in oil to lube it up, and really using some force, it won't go in.

Went right in my 2005 4l80 no problem, I just Put some trans oil on the o rings and firmly pushed it in.
