While the item is of excellent quality, it does NOT come with two flap coved pieces. The inside piece is an open frame. I ordered this 3 times thinking there was a shipping error or sent from different sources. The order numbers are the same on the box received but the contents are NOT what is pictured. I have given up and accepted the order.

This feels like much better quality than our old $20 one from Home Depot. We put it in our garage door so it doesn't let in a draft indoors in the winter. We just put a laundry basket inside the door to collect our mail while on vacation. Very easy.I expect this to last a long time. We've been using it about a month now with no issues. It arrived in pristine condition.

Upon receipt, it is a nice quality mail slot. Will update post after it has been exposed to the elements for a few months. I would have given this five stars, but it did not come with the installation template, so I had to make my own based on a PDF on Baldwin's website.

Expensive but excellent product looks very nice on door and totally functional I ought it for my son in law he/they were so pleasesonly negative point I believe it replaces a Baldwin much older at least all measurement interior and exterior were exactly the same AND STILL all the screw holes did not match up exactly necessitating I drill 4 new holes out of 8 but again it is a heavy duty attractive piece that functions perfectly

Very nice to match my other Baldwin accessories. I have their lock sets. Some of the lock sets are 15 years old or older. No tarnish!

Beautiful; perfectly matches the Baldwin lock and door handle on my front door. Back flap cuts drafts from outside. It's not really "package size," but is much wider than most slots so my magazines, Newflix etc. don't get ripped. Don't know how hard the mounting was (I had a carpenter do it, and wasn't home to watch). Got the impression, though, that it would have been easier to position on the door if a template were provided.

None of the hardware stores or big box stores even knew about a double flap mail slot. Had to buy it on line. It is not as heavy as my old one and too expensive but works well.

Nice Baldwin brass mailslot with an interior and exterior flap. Only negative is it is somewhat thin/tinny sounding when the mail is delivered. No problems with drafts here in the Chicago area. The two slots help in keeping out the outdoor air. I also have a storm door so it really works fine. Installation was easy and the finish has held up well. I used to have the very heavy mail slot that is solid heavy brass and it tarnished beyond polishing, didn't have the interior flap. This one is larger, and a bit dressier than my previous one. Put it on our new door along with a Baldwin lockset--gorgeous.
