Love this phone! I got the Bark Kids Phone for my son, and I couldn't be happier with the decision! As a mom, the Bark Phone has been amazing.! It’s not just a phone—it’s peace of mind. I love being able to approve contacts, block inappropriate apps, and set screen time limits, all while keeping tabs on my daughter’s location when she’s at a friend’s house (even if it’s just a house away). We purchased this phone for our daughter and loved how easy it was to set up the phone. It looks like a smart phone but offers tons of protections and peace of mind with its tracking, monitoring, alerts, and reliable service for talk or text. We were hesitant about getting her a phone but definitely a good purchase.

I had the phone for about six months and then my child was unable to use the phone for a few months, due to treatment they were receiving for mental health. During that time I cancelled the service that was going unused so I would not have to pay the ridiculous cost of $60 per month for the very limited phone service. When it was time to reinstate the phone line, the phone suddenly “didn’t work with Bark” anymore despite being less than a year old and being a Bark phone! After being on the phone for a long time they finally said that it would still work (after trying to convince me that I’d need a brand new device that had gone up in price) but their engineers would have to reach out to me to fix things due to a problem on their end. This was after they had me do a factory reset and we unfortunately lost all the pictures my child had on the phone (they warned me that would happen but there was no other option because of the phone somehow being “locked” on the Bark software side). They then left me in the dark for days and I was not able to call due to their call center being closed on weekends. When I tried to cancel my service they said they typically don’t do refunds and that I was likely to still have to pay for the year subscription ($100) and a $60 charge for the month of phone that was never even activated due to issues on their end. They said they would transfer me to billing to see about canceling the charge, then they hung up on me instead. Definitely will not be using Bark in the future.

I purchased this phone for my child as a first step into smartphone use. The Bark Phone has built-in safety features that are easy to set up and manage. I’m able to monitor messages, manage screen time, and track location through the parent app, which works smoothly.The phone itself is user-friendly and looks just like a regular smartphone, so my child feels independent, but I still have the oversight I need as a parent.Overall, it’s been a solid option for introducing technology in a safe and age-appropriate way.
