This replacement VR head strap works with the Quest 2/3S/3 and comes with the two-position charging dock and two magnetic 6700mAh batteries. I have both a Quest 2 and 3, and this headset does work with both of them. I also have in the past been using the Bobo M2 Plus and M3 headset/batteries with them. I do like this headset better than both of them because of the top adjusting knob strap makes it more comfortable, and the batteries on this unit are a higher capacity at 6700mAh. The headset was easy to install and the build quality if fairly good. The magnetic batteries look similar for the charging and magnets at the bottom, but these batteries stand more vertical rather than more slanted like the B2 battery packs. I was hoping they would be interchangeable so I would have even more battery capacity, but they are not. These 6700mAh batteries work great on the Quest 2 and really extend the session for as long as I want as I can recharge the spare while using the other one. The magnets really hold the battery down well, but at the same time are easy to lift off and swap with a fresh battery without even looking. I also really like the display showing the percentage of battery life left. The Quest 3 does require more power to function, so these batteries have a shortened play time versus using them with the Quest 2. Since this headset is compatible with the Quest 2 and 3, the power rate is made to be compatible with both, so there are a few higher power rate headset/batteries made just for the Quest 3 that I would also compare in that situation. However, this is a great solution for those with Quest 2 headsets and if looking to upgrade in the future to the 3/3S this headset would still be compatible, which is an excellent bonus.

If you have a Meta Quest 2 with the original strap, this is a must-have. I originally got it for the extended battery life, but now I wouldn't use the Quest without it—even if it didn’t have the battery. The comfort and ease of taking it on and off are miles better than the original strap, and honestly nicer than the official Elite Strap too.It was also super quick and easy to attach to the Quest 2, and it came with everything needed for both the Quest 2 and Quest 3 (though I don’t have a Quest 3 to test the fit). The hinge in the middle lifts up, making it way easier to put on and take off—especially if you wear glasses. It also relieves a lot of the pressure on your face and makes the headset feel lighter overall, since the weight is distributed better instead of pulling straight down. It feels secure and sits right against my face without needing to be so tight that it's digging in.Another unexpected bonus: it doesn’t mess up my hair nearly as much as the original strap (depending on your hairstyle and whether you care about that, of course). And then there’s the battery. It attaches magnetically—securely and easily—even while you're wearing the headset, no need to look. I only got the version with one battery, but it’s enough for near-continuous play. I just keep it connected until it runs out, then plug it in and keep using the Quest on its internal battery while the external one charges. By the time the Quest battery is low, the external one is almost ready to go again.Unless you’re living in the Quest, one battery should be plenty. And if you are, you’ll be even more grateful for the comfort this strap adds. Honestly, after using the Quest with this, I can’t imagine ever going back to the original strap.

This head strap and battery pack are a game changer (no pun intended!) I originally upgraded my Quest 2 head strap from the soft Velcro to a rigid plastic one. It was better, but I had to really tighten down the strap to keep the headset from moving, constantly trying to adjust because it was uncomfortable. After an hour of play, my face had indentations from the squeeze. The battery life of the Quest 2 is pretty short, I only get about an hour if its fully charged before the "low battery" warning pops up.Installing this head strap was fairly easy. I liked that the screw driver provided is magnetic so it easily hold the tiny screws so you can carefully position them into the holes. I found that if you fold the strap out of the way it is a little easier (I figured that out after working on the first side) to get the screws in. It's also best to get one screw in part way then work on the second one. Once both little screws are inserted you can go back and tighten them up.This new strap is the bomb! It has a lot of padding and is angled for adjustment so the faceplate sets correctly on your face and the back strap comes down so it holds everything on with less pressure. It was so much more comfortable. The hot swap battery pack charges up very quickly and gives a read out of how much power is left. It snaps on magnetically and the connection secure and doesn't rattle during game play. It really feels just like part of the strap itself. The cord provided is nice and short and has a clip to keep it attached to the strap so it's not loose and rattling. It can also be easily removed to charge while you are playing then quickly snapped back on and plugged in to charge your quest. The only negative may be that it does increase the size of the overall headset with strap so if you have an existing case, it may not fit very well without some disassembly. That being said, you can remove the strap from the headset by simply sliding it off.The materials are great quality and well made. Considering how much I paid for the original plastic head strap alone, this super comfortable strap with battery backup is a well worth the money ($49.99 at time of purchase). I highly recommend this for anyone who plays, even if it's occasionally. The comfort alone is worth it!
