Able to use configurator to zigbee in an open area to a outbuilding about 50 feet away. Performance acceptable for my purpose. Have used for about 2 weeks.

I was having backup camera drop out on my 31' RV. I added this to the camera (wireless), glued the antenna on top of the AC cowling and it works like a charm; no delay and clear image.

Despite not having all the RGB colors that some others do these make up for it in sheer efficiency. There is nothing hindering the operation in the design and with the magnetic base you can attach them where needed. They even came with a sticky base you could ad to place them on non magnetic surfaces!

There's no way these would stand up on the highway with the crappy little magnet they come with. Let alone gusts from big rigs. Junk. Sending back. Don't waste your time. Amazon sellers you have to up your game.

When installing wi-fi security cameras I always have to use these on about half of the cameras. To get the camera coverage I'm looking for, it never fails there is always something blocking the signal and I have to drill a whole through something and install one of these remote camera antennas to get consistant strong signal. If you're doing residential installations you may not need these but for industrial buildings built with steel I highly recommend them.

Haven't functionally used it yet but appears to be otherwise as advertised. Tested the magnet and it is definitely not the most spectacular, which is somewhat surprising considering one of the selling points is for vehicles. Wind will be an issue, so I will be replacing it with a neodymium magnet at some point.

Bought these as spares for field test last December, so this is specific to shipments during that period - package had bar code X0028EFDJF. Just used them for a new field test - at 2.4 Ghz they are terrible - collected signal strength data - they are closer to -5 to -7 db gain - certainly not +9 db. Junk, at least at 2.4 Ghz.These high gain antennas are supposed to have radiation patterns where most of the RF energy is directed perpendicular to the antenna - so when vertical, they radiate out parallel to the ground. For 9 db of gain, typically the strong signal is from fifteen degrees below level, to 15 degrees above level. a 0 db antenna radiates in all directions (omni-directional.) So these should be great for terrestrial deployments - lousy for airplanes (or drones). But I am using them terrestrially - probably within 2 to 3 degrees of horizontal. A 6 db increase will double the range. I just tested these against a 2 db gain antenna using the same radios at 2.4 GHz. The cheap 2db antenna has a range almost three times greater than these antennas. We have also tested an L-Com RE05U that is listed as a 5db antenna - it has worked at a range four times the range of these Bingfu units, with rock-solid, reliable communications at three times the range of these units. The RE05U is specifically designed for 2.4 Ghz. Unfortunately not sold at amazon. Two possibilities - the six units I bought in early December were defective, or these antennas were not designed to work at 2.4 Ghz. Note that a lot of modern wi-fi uses both bands (2.4 and 5.8), so it may be they work at 5.8 and people don't realize they do not work at 2.4. But if you are using IEEE802.15.4 (as we are), 5.8 is not an option.

Did not work for my application. I'm not a radio frequency nerd, but all specs seemed to match up what I needed for my wireless backup camera system for my RV. Antenna actually performed worse than the stock 3 inch antennas. Antenna, wire, and fitting quality is fine. Magnetic base is trash. They used a super small magnet that is lightly glued behind a hollow plastic base. Came apart during first application. Epoxy and a large magent would be required as a diy if that is how you plan to mount. Stock, this antenna cant hold itself to a metal object, even upright. It's that weak. I wound up using 3m double sided, electric tape wrap, with a tertiary zip tie.

I was looking to extend the range of my wireless security cameras and decided to give these a shot. After extensive testing, I learned that these antennas don't really extend the range of the stock antennas that are on my cameras, HOWEVER, I discovered a trick that GREATLY extends the range. My front gate is roughly 200 yards from my home (and NVR). Using just the antenna, about 65 yards is the limit, and the signal is weak. The camera is always "behind" in time, and nothing is recorded about half the time. I decided to use an old satellite dish to direct the signal towards my home, and I'm amazed at how well this works. Full signal strength from my front gate! Now I'm curious as to how far I can make this set-up work. Thanks GoogleFU errr... BingFU!
