The description claims this is pure brass but after a few cycles of use, the brass PLATING is has worn of from the rim. The size is a bit larger than standard and so it is a tight fit. Product came dented probably from not being shipped in a box. Might be okay for temporary use while you get your original neck repaired. I do not recommend this as a permanent replacement.

Too big for my saxaphone..as it was made for standard size sax....wouldn't fit all the way

The part of the neck that enters the body of the saxophone is a little bit too big. The diameter should be 24.4 mm and it varies between 24.6 to 24.7 mm. There isn't enough material in the neck to machine it down to the proper size.
