This isn’t easy for small kids to use. Everything on it got stuck in a short period of time- the button to open the top (and even before it kept getting stuck, it wasn’t easy to use), one of the clips for the strap got stuck in the side, making the thing impossible to open all the way. Wouldn’t recommend. The only reason I am giving this two stars instead of one, is because the tools it comes with work and we still use them.

We use this to capture ants inside the container. It also has a magnifier so they can see closer.. I would recommend for.parents and kids.

I ordered this to gift for a birthday and it was a big hit! It has everything for your toddler or young child to explore nature and bugs.

This is a nice little kit that would be great for kids. I actually got it for myself though. I like spiders and some bugs, but I don't want to touch them, so I use the various gear to catch things that get into my apartment then release them outside. The little bubble "scissors" work especially well for this, but all the items in the kit are a good quality for a kid's toy.

My granddaughter is still a bit too young at 2 years old to really get into this bug catcher kit, but I can already tell she’s going to love it when she’s a little older! She already likes to watch and follow bugs when we’re outside, so I’m excited to have this ready for her once she’s old enough to start catching them. The kit has everything a little explorer could need—binoculars, a magnifying glass, a bug cage, and more. The quality of the items seems sturdy and safe for kids, which is reassuring. The only thing I’d say is that the binoculars might be a bit tricky for really young kids to use properly, but they’ll be perfect as she grows. I can’t wait to see her face light up when we finally get to use it together for bug-hunting adventures!

I was surprised with how durable this bug kit is. The parts are made from thick plastic that can withstand a lot of rough treatment. The magnifying scope on the lid of the container works surprisingly well and is great for getting a close look at what you catch. Some of the tools felt a little unnecessary (the various scissors and tweezers) but I'm sure some people appreciate having them. This is a great gift for a kid!
