pretty decent product not exactly cheap for a headset. around middle of the road but its the only one practically that works for my style of frame and build so kind of had limited choices to be honest. but im sure i could have done worse for 51 bucks

Fit my Santa Cruz 5010 27.5" Carbon framed bike with a tapered fork like a charm. I live next to the ocean and corrosion is an issue and it was the reason I had to replace the current bearings. Sealed bearings never have enough grease to fight corrosion, so before I put them in, I carefully popped the seal off one side and packed those suckers with grease. Seal back in place, the went onto the bike and there were no issues.

Cane Creek labeled the 40-Series the "Workhorse" lineup. I really do agree! I have 110 models on two of my bikes, but the lower cup rusted out, and really only needed it as a temporary fix until I get the warrantied 110 back from Cane Creek. To me, the difference between the 110 and 40 series are probably only the cup weight. I feel confident in saying that it is just as smooth and has great sealing like the 110 but at about 1/2 the cost. For a budget performance "set and forget" item on the bike, you really can't go wrong. Is it a Chris King? No, but you're paying half the price of a Chris King. I previously worked in a shop for several years, and build bikes for friends, family and myself, and this is almost always the "go to" headset of choice for the quality and price.I would say that if the bike is worthy of a Chris King (high dollar carbons and Ti bikes) buy it, but if you have a ceiling on your budge, buy this and save the money to invest into better wheels/tires. The product will serve you well!

Fit on my tapered headtube was excellent. Headset looks good and seems to work well. Package included star nut and cap. Fast shipping from vendor.
