I had high hopes that these would keep me from falling on the ice this year but they were difficult to keep on. They kept pulling off in the front so I had to continually reach down and pull the toe section up. I won't buy them again.

These traction products are fine if the price is right, but I do have some problems with the sizing. Most foot traction is supposed to stretch to cover your shoe. If it didn't need to stretch, it would be too loose to stay on your foot properly.However I don't really like the sizing on these as the stretch is really big for large feet, which makes them awkward to put on and hard to thread the top strap through.These cleats do have spikes in the heel area. Sometimes you want that, sometimes you don't. If you're going indoor with them or doing fairly light walking in poor terrain, you'd usually be better off with coils over the whole product.These cleats are fine, and will do suit their purpose just fine, especially if your foot is on the smaller end of the size range. I would just rather pay a few extra dollars for something that fits me better.

My daughter tested these on a snowy, icy road surface this afternoon, and they provided significantly better traction than regular shoes. Pretty impressive. However, we found it runs a bit smaller than expected, which made it somewhat challenging to put them on over her shoes.

I've been looking at microspikes for years, but never pulled the trigger. Seeing a 5 day span of ice and a little snow coming our way, I ordered some for my husband and myself just in time. We used them twice yesterday and couldn't be happier with them. They're easy to put on and take off. They're comfortable. And I tried to get a slide going in the sleet covered ice and I couldn't. But in just my boots, I could slide really easily. Now I'm recommending them to everyone. And my brother already ordered 2 pairs yesterday.
