Extremely robust and strong; in comparison to the cat-5e cable that came before it, the ping test passed from 9 ms to 3 ms and the speed test passed from 60 mbps to 640 mbps inbound. The outgoing speed stayed at 60 Mbps. This performance is dependent on your internet plan and requires a gigabyte router and a gigabyte network card with a bandwidth of 1000 Mbps. (This 60 Mbps fibre bundle is here.)

Standard cat 7 "stiff" round cable, reinforced connectors with a thin metal side. At the time of the review the price was around average for 30ft of cable. Testing in iPerf3 showed good results at 10GbE, and port bonding with two cables at 20GbE showed nominal speeds and no noticeable cable problems. Packaging was generic, with the cable rolled secured with clear wrap. Connectors seemed secure in multiple servers and the removal mechanism operates well, with a no-snag plastic tab. I have no concerns about this cable.

This cable looks like any modern ethernet cable with top quality termination jacks.10Gbps extremely high speed cable.Up to 600 MHz bandwidth.Four times as fast as Cat 6 cables as long as the equipment at both ends supports this high a speed. This cable is triple shielded to provide privacy from snooping and prevent interference from outside radio frequency and magnetic sources.PVC skin on wire to provide abrasion protection and reduce the chance of it getting caught.Otherwise it works just like any usual ethernet cable. Plug in and it just works.Works fine on older RJ45 network gear, devices, hubs. routers and switches but can be limited by their speed capabilities.Great value for a Cat 7 - 10Gbps ethernet cable.

I recently had the chance to test out this CAT7 Ethernet cable, and it's fantastic. The quality of the cable is top-notch; it feels sturdy and well-made. One thing that really stood out to me was how thin yet durable the wire gauge seemed, which made it easy to manage and store without worrying about damage. The performance has been consistently fast and reliable. I've used it to connect my modem to my router, and there have been no issues with speed or connectivity. Overall, this CAT7 Ethernet cable is definitely worth considering if you're looking for a high-quality, dependable option at a competitive price. Highly recommended!

I ordered this Cat 7 Ethernet Cable 30ft, High Speed Cat 7 Triple Shielded Internet Network Cable to attach a network printer to a hub.I have a Canon Workforce printer that I share with other household members. For the longest time, it was working just fine via WiFi. For some reason, it developed an intermittent error. When wired to a hub, though, it was working fine. I didn't have a cable long enough to reach from my hub to the room where the printer needs to be. I could have gotten one at my local Big Box store, but their prices are outrageous. This cable has molded plugs that seem tight and sturdy. The RJ45 plugs fit perfectly and stay in place. They are not difficult to remove. If you need to connect a device up to 30 feet away to a modem, router, or hub, this cable should work out just fine for you.

I got a Moker 8 port 2.5Gbps Switch to run dual lan with 2 Win11 Mini Computers (via LACP, which give theoretical 5Gbps). CAT5 won't work for that situation. Needed a Cat6 or higher, This is a Cat7 ! Plenty of bandwidth going forward. Thanks Amazon

I have a 2.5 Gb switch and the auto negotiation speed with the cable does read 2.5 Gb, the reason I got this cable is because I'm waiting to buy a 10 Gb network switch.I'm going to need a few more of this cables for my home network.

Nice cable. Running a stable 10G ethernet connection between an Intel T550 ethernet card and a relatively inexpensive Chinese GoodTop 10G 4 Port Managed Ethernet switch. The switch is not logging any errors over the cable.

Great cable. It uses stranded wires which means it's flexible. And the 30ft version is just about right for debugging network connectivity. I haven't tested it for speed but it does fine / lights up with gigabit adapters.

Nice build quality for a shielded cat7 cable. The metal plating on the rj45 stays close to the plastic portion so no issues plugging into a jack and catching the edge to block it. The inclusion of the non-snag made fishing the wire through walls easier, and prevented it getting jammed up when backing out to try again. The AP this is feeding hit full speed at 10GB and has not slowed down at all. Network management still reports full speed with PoE and 10GB running over the wire. The jacket is white, not some faded yellow tint or anything like that. For 15 dollars, a decent buy.

If you're looking for a sturdy Cat 7 cable for home or office use, this one seems like a solid choice overall. $19.89 for 30’ feels like reasonable value for what you're getting. While I can’t test the cable’s actual performance against its specs or compared to a Cat 6, 5e,etc cables, it definitely thicker, and seems to perform better in file transfer speeds than the 5e that it replaced (now getting about 1Gbps on my network, which is it’s limit)However, there are a few things to keep in mind.First, it’s worth mentioning the feel of the cable itself. It’s a thicker and stiffer than Cat 5 or 6 cables, but that’s expected with a round Cat 7 design, due in part to the extra shielding. The build quality feels good and durable, but the stiffness might make it harder to work with in tight spaces or if you’ll be routing it around sharp bends. If flexibility is a priority, or you’re going to attempt to hide this under baseboard trim,etc.. this may not be your best option, and you may want to consider a flat option or a cat 6 or 5e.As for the specs, they look good. It claims to support up to 10Gbps speeds with a bandwidth of 600MHz, which is on par for Cat 7 standards. The triple shielding is nice and should help reduce interference which can help provide better signal integrity compared to unshielded cables, but it does make it thicker and stiffer. With that in mind, if you're just using this for typical home internet, the benefits of a Cat 7 cable may not be that noticeable compared to a high-quality Cat 6 for several years to come, unless you’re doing a lot of local ethernet traffic, or you want to future proof your ethernet. However, if the latter is the case, you may want to consider Cat 8, but i suspect it won’t make much of a difference moving into the future (speculation on my part). However, one thing the listing doesn’t mention is certification. For a cable claiming Cat 7 performance, it would be good to know if it meets ISO/IEC 11801 or EIA/TIA standards to ensure those speeds and shielding has been certified to meet specs. Without that info, it's hard to say whether this cable is truly taking full advantage of what Cat 7 has to offer. The cable does says “GVCERTIFIED” (sic) Cat 7 on it, but given the spelling I wouldn’t put much stock in that. This might be more of a concern if i was wiring up a whole setup or using a lot, but for a 30’ cable it’s arguably moot unless your requirements are such that you’re demands will approach those limits. If you're wiring for gaming or streaming and want something more consistent and faster than WiFi for a small stretch, this is a decent option and a fair for a 30-foot cable. However, if you’re looking to route it and don’t need the extra shielding or bandwidth, you might find better flexibility and ease of use with a Cat 6 cable or a flat variety, but it depends on your needs. If you’re looking to wire a more extensive job, I might opt for something certified, but it will likely costs more.Final thought: This is a good choice for those who want a durable Cat 7 cable at a fair price, but keep in mind it’s thick, the specs haven’t been certified, and you may not fully notice the benefits unless you’re running a high-demand network.

I took this ethernet cable for my new Proxmox server as I wanted it to be future proof. My server has two NIC’s one is 2.5 Gbps and another one is 5 Gbps and although this falls well under Cat 6 specs, I didn’t want to limit it.This cable, with length of 10 m should theoretically support throughput of 40 Gbps. Way more than I need right now, until I upgrade my network. Therefore at this time I still have bottlenecks with my network equipment so I can’t really test beyond 1 Gbps.As such, this cable performed perfectly. By using local OpenSpeed (docker container on NAS) I’ve got a 950-ish UL/DL which is typical due to network overhead.Cable itself is not too stiff, so it’s easy to work with it.Also it’s slightly thicker than usual Cat 6 cables as it should be due to additional internal interference protective layers.Connectors are very well made and it is easy to plug it in or out from network devices. Conclusion: This is high quality Cat 7 network cable with a reasonable price tag (19.8$ at a time of order).Final verdict: 5 stars
