Ordered this for trips to the vet with my kitties. I have a hard cat carrier that has been great for many years but hate that it takes up so much space to keep stored all the time when we rarely use it, so the idea of something that may be easier to pack away was very appealing. Plus when my cats see the big yellow carrier come out they run. lol Maybe they'll get used to this one and also run but when I took it out one of my cats was curious and went right in to check it out.First impression was it has a little bit of a funky smell to it, that musty odor some things seem to have like they have sat in an old shed or damp shipping container for to long. So I febrezed it and am airing it out and hoping it goes away. Other than that everything seems great. zippers all work good, craftsmanship seems decent and well held together.I love that the side open up to give my cats more space and air. I can get them to the car and open the side up so they can have more freedom to stretch out and breath and see what is going on around them. I love that it comes with a soft comfy mat for the bottom, I had to make a fleece blanket and foam mat for my old crate because it was nothing but a hard plastic bottom. The pocket on top is handy as well because I usually bring treats for my kitties and a folding water dish. It's also much more comfortable to carry than the big clunky plastic crate, I feel like I can hold it closer to me and hug it a little getting a more secure hold on my pets while the plastic crate was always just awkward to hold and holding it by just the handle made me nervous, like the handle was going to break and I was going to drop my poor cat, crate and all. But my favorite is how small it fold down!!! Now I can pack it away and it takes up so much less space than the old crate did. I'll be donating the old crate because for as little as we need crate to get the cats to the vet that is 7 miles away this is perfect. It would also make a great dog crate for our tiny chihuahua on an over night stay out of ton if we ever need one.My only complaints are like I mentioned the funky odor. Also the sides are not super easy to fold back up, it takes a sec and after you get it zipped up you have to mess with them a little to get them out of the way of your kitties interior space and get the padded base put back over it with the velcro in the upper corners so it doesn't fall back out into the interior space. Not the end of the world just something to be aware of so your cat isn't getting crowded out by it. Or you could just close the side straps over them without actually closing/zippering the side panels up which would leave them open a little bit if you are in a rush just to get from the car to the house or vet without messing with trying to get the sides all closed back up properly.Overall I think this is a good pet carrier and I love how much space it is going to save us as well as how much extra space it will give our cats when having to ride in the car. Excited to see how the first vet visit goes.

I am literally shocked! My cat has been terrified of her large plastic carrier since the day I got her as a kitten (almost 8 years ago). I had to move FOUR times since then, and each time, no matter how comfortable she had gotten with me, she would be SO scared of the carrier that I had to risk life and limb to get her in the damn thing. Got scratched up the first couple times (and she is NOT a violent scratchy cat AT ALL). I just figured, with a traveling vet that comes to the house to see her, I had resigned myself to the fact that we would NEVER leave this home again unless there was an emergency or one of us died! But I saw this and loved the pictures showing how LARGE this is. It actually reminds me of a pull-out camper I used to go camping in with the family when I was a kid. Sides pop out and expand. I thought I had to give it a try. Worst case scenario, I figured, she would go in it like her tunnels and condos but not let me carry her around. But as soon as I took it out of the box and started to check it out and open it, she came right to it. Then she went in and I could not believe my eyes. We've been using it like a toy tunnel fort all day and she is exploring all the holes in and out (2 on sides and one on top). She has let me close it up and I have carried her around the house. Big test is when we go out to the car and short drive to visit the front porch at my mom's place. I think she will actually be more excited about traveling and it will curb her curiosity and boredom. And I MIGHT actually get to travel again one day... little steps, LOL! This thing is awesome. You can carry it with shoulder strap (adjustable) or hand strap (sort of cushioned). I have not carried her around with the sides folded in yet, but she has already learned to balance herself in the middle when we are walking around home. So proud of her... lots of treats today and she actually thinks it is a big toy for her pleasure. She was purring and everything. So, I just was calm the whole time and talked to her as I do when we are playing. WOW!!! THANK YOU!!!

I like big bags and I cannot lie! This cat carrier is very generously sized! All of my cats enthusiastically went in to check it out and 1 of them absolutely refused to get out. It's now sitting on the floor as his new bed. It's worth noting that while I haven't tried it, I doubt the side pockets are large enough to put a litter box as pictured, for a full sized cat to use. There is plenty of actual space for it, and my collapsible travel litter box easily fit, but the height is too low for a cat to comfortably relieve himself, unless they are a very small cat/kitten. But it would probably work in a pinch. The extra space is really great for longer trips where extra contained space is needed. I used it recently to take my cat to the beach for a few hours and it was perfect for that.Note: the zipper was off track right out of the package, but it corrected itself without issue once I rezipped it.
