It works!! Shreds chicken like magic!! Shreds beef too! Works best if cooked completely.

I had such a different idea of what exactly this might be, but It caused such curiosity, I had no choice but to give it a go! BOOOOOOYYYYY am I glad I did!! This thing is 1. much larger than I had envisioned (I think I was remembering an "herb" grinder 😉), 2. Much sturdier than I imagined it would be, which inspired additional uses, which I will share. The only thing that I could find that I wasn't keen on is the non slip base didn't seem to like my granite countertops. But I put it on a silicone baking may and that solved that. This thing chewed through chicken for tacos faster than I could eat them. That inspired another thought. If it can do that, I wonder how it would be with diced, poached chicken for chicken salad. (Hint, use a very large rough dice, more of a rough chop to keep it from completely shredding, but it doesn't touch a small dice. I also used it for pulled pork, which came out about the texture of barbacoa and I loved it! I am trying to find new uses for it all the time. Oh it also works with boiled eggs to make a rustic egg salad! I am obsessed.

This makes an easy job of shredding chicken and pork for soups, casseroles or sandwiches. Easy to grip and manage, this is a big help for those with arthritis or general hand weakness. This will get a lot of use!

This item is packaged as 4 separate plastic pieces: the base, 2 knows, and the clear top. The knobs attach to the top with "click" fittings. The base has some rubberized strips on the bottom to help keep it from moving around while shredding.Very easy to assemble, and use. Just toss some cooked chicken onto the base, put in top, grab a handle with your hands and pretend your a big rig driver on a slalom course. You can't be too aggressive as everything is made of plastic. If the chicken is too thick or cold, you can end up breaking off the shredding protrusions on the base and lid. Also if it does get stuck, the handles can be snapped. This seems like a great device for cooked, warm chicken that is placed in thin pieces into the shredder.I hope to have an update once I get a chicken out of my smoker.

I won't need this very often, but a couple times I did need one, but didn't have one. This is something you won't think about needing till you need it. Very basic construction, works well, easy to clean. It is going to come in handy.

This was super easy to use. The best part is - no sore hands. My hands usually cramp up when shedding meat. This was so nice, and very fast. My hands are very happy to have this.I've only used it on chicken so far but I think it'll work well to make pulled pork. You do need a good amount of meat in it as well. At first, I just put half a chicken breast in it, but it worked much better when I put both halves in.It also seems like it will hold up well.
