I don't believe this product to be acrylic. It isn't made like my other acrylic scrapers. I have a feeling this is plastic. I didn't use it. I gave it two stars because I don't doubt it will work for what it's meant to do. But I didn't use it because mine has a very strong chemical smell. Even after washing with soapy water.

Was extremely hesitant to buy this considering the mediocre reviews but for the price I figured I’d try it out. I didn’t have any issues smoothing or shaping my buttercream - other than my own errors. It’s a great option for home bakers that are looking to try new techniques before investing in more expensive products!
