The 4x12 monocular is too small and almost useless. There's not much you can see with 4x of magnitude, especially if the lens diameter is only 1.2 cm. I tried to see the whole Lyra constellation, but all I can see is Vega (Alpha Lyrae) and I failed to see other stars in Lyra constellation with this monocular. I tried to read some text in a tv monitor from 20meter, and I could hardly read the text.The 6x16 monocular is much better than its sibling 4x12. I can easily read a text in a tv monitor 20 meter from me.However, this 6x16 monocular cannot be used for astronomical purposes. I tried to scan Lyra constellation with this monocular, but all I can see is Vega, and I failed to see other stars in Lyra constellation. (I can easily see all stars in Lyra constellation with 6x30 Celestron monocular).2 stars for 4x12 monocular, and 4 stars for 6x16 monocular

Like...It works! Able to view fine captions on TV. Cons.....the focus mechanism is touchy. If you set it down focused, then pick it up, you often have to re-focus.

Yes good quality but it does not do what it's advertised to do - wide-angle viewing. Could never be used for viewing TV as advertised - otherwise fine.

The title says it all. Except the design of the lens covers are a pain and not at all as simply designed as most other mono or bi nocular devices.

I am loosing my eyesight from Macular Degeneration. I can’t afford low vision fancy and expensive machines. My eye Dr suggested that I get a short monocular so I can read the tv channel guide. It is exactly what I needed at this time. Great idea!

I have used similar devices manufactirwd by other companies. Compared to those devices, this one looks cheap. The process amazingly low. I haven't used it much because I still have devices from other companies. I think it is worth trying.
