Preparation

  1. For front-installation, make sure vehicle is on a hard (concrete) surface and apply the parking brake. Place blocks under rear wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
  2. Check your vehicle owner’s manual for the proper contact points then jack up each tire to its recommended servicing height. For a safe installation and equal weight distribution, position the jack stands under the contact points corresponding with each wheel.

Measure the spring spacing between the coils

  1. Once each tire is properly elevated, the coil spring is relaxed at full extension. It is recommended that you remove the wheel for easier installation.
  2. Using a damp cloth, clean away all debris on your coil spring before installing this product. (specially in center 3-4 coils)
  3. Measure the spring spacing between the coils to determine which product size (A+ .. F) should be selected (See Fig. 1, “D” for measuring points), please measure center 2-3 spring distance, so to get an average for the spacing distance.

Tips

  • Tip1: choose product H1 = D (or close) (D: Vehicle Lifted Up)
  • Tip2: if measurement H1 is larger than D, inserting into coil spring may be too difficult.
  • Tip3: if H1 is smaller than D, inserting is much easier but the buffer’s support is diminished.

Recommendations

  1. H2 = D for max. support (but may be hard to insert into the coil spring)
  2. Choose buffer size D>H2 but D <H1. If D closer to H2 there will be more lift and support

I installed these on a f350 to gain a bit of clearance with the added weight of a snowplow. Installation was smooth with a little wd40. Works well and is a whole lot easier than switching out coil springs.

Install on Volvo 2002 v70 t5 p2, Not much lift maybe 1/2 inch, Increased suspension preload, less sway, harder to bottom out, better handling without spring replacement. Lube is a must to install, use a non petroleum grease. Follow the size chart.

Nice stuff, great idea, when install on my Highlander, it was few inches short, reading the instruction says the rubber should be meet all around one line of coil spring, this one about 1.5 inches short (wide gap). It might be better to order little longer than the measurement. I haven't tested the load yet. Will update later.
