As others have said, the float is too big to fit through the threads. The largest OD is about 0.25mm larger than the ID of the female thread. Got stuck in the pan when trying to install, and when I attempted to pull the sensor out, the float just pulled off the end. I had to remove the entire pan again (huge pain) to get the pieces out and buy another gasket. Might work if you shave the float down a bit before install.

Ordered one fell apart right after putting it in order another one in the float was too big to fit in the oil pan
