it's not heavy duty as I thought it was.used once and that's the only one time we used. Broken while it was used.very disappointed.

These are ok if your in an emergency situation to get out of somewhere but to ride with them for awhile might not be the safest. I rode them up my street and it didn't feel like the safest ride. The metal piece broke on one of the straps so I wasn't able to crank it and the straps were alittle hard putting them through the rim. My ups driver saw me putting them on and he said he sees those all over the road.

While these straps initially have good bite, you MUST ensure you install them as TIGHT as you possibly can. Just when you think the straps are tight, tighten them some more.Because if you do not tighten them, the strap will slip and bind. This causes the ratchet strap to bind and twist on the plastic traction part. After driving down the road I found that they would slip enough that the strap would then get caught by the brake caliper. This would cause the strap to get cut and eventually snap, slinging the traction strap off your vehicle.

I have not yet gotten to try this in the snow as the weather has not yet cooperated. However, the materials look resonably sturdy and the kit comes with everything you would need to put them on in an emergency situation. Like with eeverything around cars (and in this case tires), what is easy for some might not be as easy for everyone. If you are reasonably handy, you will have no problem using these. For now I am happy to have these in my car.

It’s supposed to have 10 straps. It only had 8.

These h look like they have good traction for snow or rough terrain. By the way they look it’ll be easily to put on the tires. I haven’t used them yet, but they look better than most I’ve seen. I will come back later to update after using them.
