I feel sorry for that one guy complaining about his bad experience trying to return the item. I too had second thought after buying this Denon. Has to wait a few days for it to be delivered, and I already thinking about returning it as soon as I got the package. But I got it. It was sent out by FedEx, two days early. I decided to open the box and see whether I like it or not. The rather flimsy box is just a cover for the real package. So inside is the actual carton box of Denon D-M41. Very solid and still sealed up. Opening that box, there are another two boxes, one for the stereo unit and another for the speaker. All sealed up like a spanking brand new stereo. Everything inside is perfectly wrapped in plastic. No scratch or dings. Even smell like brand new unit. Papers and all accessories are complete. Of course the actual. manual book is online in PDF files, so in the Quick Guide they provide a QR to be scanned. The speakers are tiny in size, but still produce quite a punch of crispy sound. The stereo unit is solid, a bit heavy comparing to cheap products. I bought this to replace my Sony mini component radio I bought some 30 years ago. The rubber dried up inside and I thought that was it for it, but my son managed to fix it for me. But then it starts humming real loud everytime I turn it on, it quite down after a while but I can still hear the buzz. The laser won’t always read the CD or MiniDisc anymore. So I’m glad to get this stereo and I’m glad I decided not to return it. CD player is a bit slow because it has to read the CD first, I guess so it can distinguish if the CD is audio or music files. Playing mp3 or wma is awkward because I can’t use the play button, but instead have to use the directional buttons on the remote and press enter to play the song. I also have to deal with folders and tracks. Setting up the radio is kind of different too, but I managed to do it without reading the manual. The unit gets warm real quick when turned on. So you might want to be sure not to put this stereo in an enclosed shelves. This is a real good product and I am happy I found it.

though sound is good, has difficulty ready some CD's. No manual was sent with item. Speakers has damage and scratches. Remote was dusty and had some type of matter rubbed into it. Seller has rude and very unhelpful

We really enjoy the full stereo sound of our new Denon D-M41 CD/FM Micro Desktop Stereo System. It was very easy to set up with the simple, clear instructions provided. Everything worked on the first try, including the Bluetooth connection with my cell phone, which was a pleasant surprise for an 80-year-old non-techie like myself. The only thing I don't like is the remote control, which works well but is very hard to read for old eyes in low light conditions. I appreciated the extra analog input connections so I can still use our old 5-disc CD and even our old turntable.

I was happy when this arrived. I was using a plastic boom type box for my small space music. This has filled the room with much higher very satisfying quality of sound. My ears are happy.

I am so glad I finally got this little stereo. I am using it in an open floor plan kitchen/living /dining room, 28’x32’. It is plenty of sound for that space. However, what is special is the quality of the sound. Very fine. Last year I bought a single Bose speaker for about $175 at a big store, and I was so disappointed. The music really sounded as if it were coming out of a box. Its best attribute was that it is portable. This little Denon is bringing the respect due to the musicians whose music I am playing. It was very easy to set up, and the bluetooth worked right away. So far I have listened to classical flute and orchestral music, kalimba music, and cello and piano, and I can hear so many details that were not present in the Bose portable speaker. For this price, I bet there is nothing better out there for sound quality. And for ease of set-up, I bet no stereo system could be better, in any price range. Thank you to whoever designed this little system.
