Fuel gauge stopped working in our 06 Envoy XL. Rather than spending hundreds replacing the entire assembly I decided on just the sending unit. Was a direct fit no issues and has been working great

My fuel level gauge was unresponsive and I couldn't know how much fuel was in the tank. Many people online said this sensor was to blame and that dealers would charge $400+ to fix. Instead I purchased this part and changed it myself. Was a lot of work, but it fixed the issue and saved me a ton of money! Couldn't be happier.

i replaced it not even 6 months ago and now it is worst than the one i replaced before..and 0 warranty on this part..now i have to go buy another one from a local store

I researched Amazon for fuel level sensors for my Trailblazer SUV. This Dorman part, 911-014, comes up in response to the search. Amazon is smart enough to make me check to see if this part number is correct for my vehicle. I enter the year, the manufacturer, the body style (LS), and Amazon confirms it will fit my truck. I spent 5 hours under the truck installing the new sensor. Refueled the truck to find out the fuel levels are far off calibration. With a little more research, I find that the Amazon site was wrong: the 911-014 Dorman sensor is for the EXT body style, not mine. The correct part would have been the 911-013. I should have been smart enough to figure this out first, but I trusted what Amazon was telling me. BAD MISTAKE.
