The threaded end of cable that fits into the parking brake leaver needs to be ground down flat on 4 sides due to bulge in the crimp. unlike the factory piece crimp. I feel a part should fit perfectly right out of the box without any modifications thus the 3 star rating. Besides having to grind flats on the crimp the quality of the item was fine.

Worked perfectly on a 2001 Ford Escape. Very important note, there are two different lengths of this cable. This cable is for Escapes with a center console with a lid/arm rest. This is too long for Escapes with an open center console no lid or arm rest. (I have both types)
