I wanted a higher chair because I have an adjustable height desk that I like to use at a higher level. The height is *perfect* for my use. It replaces a stool that swiveled but had no back rest or arms, and it was killing my back. Having the wheels is a real bonus! The wheels are sturdy, too. This is certainly not a chair I'd choose for relaxation, but I like that it has a footrest, the arm height is just right for me, and the back is reasonably comfortable. I tend to sit forward a bit in my chairs anyway, so the lumbar doesn't do as much for me as it would for most. The mesh allows air flow, which will be comfortable on hot and humid days. The assembly was straightforward. I mostly put it together myself but did call in my dear husband for a second set of hands a few times [and then had to run him off, since he tends to take over projects...]. Joking aside, assembly is doable for one person, but is easier with two.The product description says it's good for up to 250 pounds of weight, but I think that would be a stretch. I weigh just under 160 and, like most office chairs, I predict the gas lift will be the first thing to fail. Bearing in mind you sort of are "crawling up" onto a higher chair, I think folks who are at or approaching 250 pounds might want to look at other options. After decades of fighting against lesser-quality chairs, I am always looking for gas lifts that are rated well above the user weight.I think you don't really know now well a chair is going to last until you've had it for about 6 months or so. It's too early to review that point. For now, the chair seems sturdy, comfortable for my needs, and it's as attractive as an office chair can be. This isn't one of those $2,000 high-end chairs, but it is a good value at this price point! And it certainly does the job well for me. I'm very happy with it so far!

I really wasnt sure what to expect from a chair that wasnt over a hundred bucks! I assumed the cushion would be made out of super thin and soft foam that would let your butt go RIGHT through it to the base. I was WAY wrong! I dont think the bottom is made from actual memory foam but it has that same feeling in the seat. It hugs your butt gently, softly, and contours around it for good support and great posture! The back rest i assumed would be super flexy and would cause you to sit with poor posture... wrong again. The back is quite similar to the base with the soft supportive feeling but its made out of a strong fabric instead... Kind of like a thinner more airy version of trampoline jump pad material! The chair is VERY tall!! It may not work for smaller computer desks but is perfect for tables that are "bar stool" height. I am using it with a smaller table that came with bar stools. The stools were incredibly uncomfortable and i now have the table in my "hobby room/man cave" where i tinker, 3d print, and do electronics. This chair is PERFECT for that table! It also keeps me sitting upright and forward so its easier to do projects! The build quality is pretty good. The piston however is REALLY good! Ive built a LOT of office and "gaming" chairs... This piston blows those all out of the water! Its REALLY heavy compared to those and its WAY more sturdy! This is probably due to how high it can lift. A weaker piston would just flex or get wobbly. The legs though where the casters go are the standard thin metal you get with most office chairs. It seems like it is sufficient but i have a few concerns about how they welded the caster's attachment points to it. There isnt a lot of weld on them and rather then sitting bottomed out in the leg to help support them the float in the valley of the leg and are fully supported by the WELDS ONLY! This may never be an issue but if the person using it is closer to the maximum weight capacity it could cause issues down the line. The threads in the chair base impressed me. They are a metal rivet nut (sort of) crimped into the wood they are locked into the wood base VERY tightly and look like they will hold on strong with no issues. HOWEVER, the hardware (screws) are the standard cheaper metal that most all furniture comes with now. Putting any torque on these with the included tool WILL strip out the hex head in them (NOT the threads). I highly suggest using your OWN 5mm hex wrench (Allen Key). This will help stop the strippage! I used a Snap-ON 5mm from my hex socket set and it worked well. Its just a combination of soft bolt and soft tool when using the included tool. It WILL work fine though if you are gentile and dont go "ham" on them!In the last photos you can get a real world idea as to how tall the chair is. Those photos have my 6' 4" tall son sitting in the chair. You can see how his feet are barely flat on the floor at max height.Dont worry if you ARE short though, the foot rest IS adjustable and you can move it up and down with a simple knob. It seems made well too and should keep your feet up with no issues down the road!
