Put these on front and rear with matching slotted and slotted dimpled rotors. Almost went over the dash getting out of the alley. Haven't done the first 50 mile burn in, and can tell these will be reckoned with. I replaced a Brembo cross drilled set with matching pads, and those felt heavy compared to these. They were good braking, but cost was getting out of hand at $300+ per front, and over $200 rear, plus pads. I had read a lot of reviews on EBC before jumping in, and for the price and the stopping power, I'm definitely impressed.

The pads are excellent but the wear indicator cable included was not compatible with my 2006 SLK280. The pads fit perfectly, but the supplied wear indicator cable was single wire design with a one pin circular connector. My 2006 SLK280 used a two wire indicator cable with two smaller connecting pins. I was fortunate that my original cable was still OK (becasue I was changing the pads early). Not all of the four pads in the kit included the hole for wear indicator, so be sure to installed them in proper location. My other complain is that the pads did not include new stainless steel guide hardware. I have purchased pads of similar quality for less money that included new hardware. On the positive side, the pads fit properly and I didn't get any sort of screeching. The brakes actually feel "better" than before which was a pleasant surprise. My past experience wit ceramic pads had me expecting that the pads would be harder and require higher pedal effort for similar braking performance, but this was not the case. I am looking forward to greatly reduced dust.

I use EBC almost exclusively. From my M-B station wagen to my built Mazdaspeed 3 and in between.The reds are a bit more performance oriented than the greens. If you have not checked out the line up EBC offers , i suggest you take a look. Much less dust than stockers on the MB and mre bite and progressive feel. worth every penny .
