If you are ordering this it comes with the removal and install tool needed to replace the valve cartridge. Does what it is suppose to do for a Ecoflush unit.

I have an older dual flush setup that stopped flushing. I took a chance on this part because they don't seem to make the dual flush cartridge anymore. It works perfectly well, hooray. Only flushes when pulling up un flush handle but as long as it works, l'm happy😊! Installing was very simple, one small hiccup, I reused the old main o-ring because I couldn't crush the new one enough to turn and lock the cartridge. No leaks and instant 1.6 gallon flush. I have replaced several of these whole assemblies over the years but tried something new this time and I am happy to say it worked out well.

...holy mother of god was this hard to install. My toilet wouldn't stop running. Replacing this part fixed it. That's the bottom line. But this took a lot of strength. First off, you don't turn the wrench 1/4 turn, it's 1/8 of a turn. Don't try to force that quarter turn, once it moves 1/8 pop the old cartridge out.Getting the new one back in, my god I thought I was going to break the toilet. I had to push down so hard and turn the wrench so hard it felt like I was having a baby. But it eventually worked.A previous review said that this part was incompatible with the B8106-S toilet. That's not true. The part that I replaced had the exact same part number as this. It's just hard as a mother to get it installed.Interestingly there's a YouTube video on how to do this procedure, and they cut out the part where they actually tried to tighten the cartridge. The video goes from popping it down to being fully installed. I guess they had to edit the clip to remove the inevitable profanity that arose from trying to tighten this thing

It was a little hard to actually seat the new cartridge. But once I got it in place all was good. And it worked as it should.

WDI Ecoflush falsely indicates on the amazon site and in the owners manual for model B8106S toilet that this is the replacement valve and interchangeable for the B8106 series is not correct. The Ecoflush replacement valve B8106-03 does not gently push down and and turn 1/4 turn clockwise as prescribed as the instructions provided indicates for the EcoFlush B8106S toilet system. The o-ring does not allow for a gentle push down; and turn and if you use force to get this part to turn from the 5 o'clock position; the valve and or the tool provided will be compromised and you will be unsuccessful in remedying your initial problem and the reason you bought the product.

Worst thing I ever did to my bathroom was to buy an ecoflush toilet! We got the duo-flush model. It failed right away and ecoflush sent us a part to replace the faulty one. Now the flush valve unit has gone out and ecoflush no longer even has them! I settled on a single flush valve (thirty something more dollars!) that does work. So much for the eco part of the flush!Take my advice and get a better designed toilet than this crapper!

So I have a bit of a mix of feelings on this item. My toilet stopped flushing properly over about a 2week period eventually it would not activate at all. Kind of disappointing for a 6-month-old toilet. SO do I blame the manufacture of the toilet or flush assembly???? Either way a $400 toilet stopped working WAY too soon. I decided to buy a replacement cartridge and keep my fingers crossed. The Good:1. It worked. This fixed the flushing issue with my toilet2. It is $30 not $3003. It took about 15 minutes to swap and you could probably do it in 10 minutes if you really needed to.4. No plumber needed, it comes with EVERYTHING you need to swap it outOther Comments1. I bought a special tool from Amazon and one from a plumbing supply shop to make sure I had the right tool to swap it. $60 for both. That still not a bad deal vs a plumber so why the comment??? BEcause the valve comes WITH the proper tool. I wasted $60 uying tools. The ad should list it comes with the tool.2. My toilet makes an odd howling noise that is somewhat loud and it did not make it prior. I even tool the cartridge out and put it back in thinking maybe it didn't seat properly but it still has the noise. I held off on my review waiting for the valve to fail but it has not so I am happy enough.3. I woul dhave givne 5 stars had i not wasted time and money lookig for wrenches for installation when it comes with the wrench.
