My Fridge was Freezing over until it was completely unusable. I replaced the Timer, the defrost heater, each replacement I waited a week to see if they would work but still the same issue of freezing over and have to defrost it with a hair dryer and taking it apart. But this worked.

I had stored the fridge because the freezer froze solid. I didn't have a second one so I stored the frozen freezer one and then bought a used one. I decided to restore the stored fridge, I took apart the freezer section then saw it has 4 main components, The thermostat, the coils a fan, and a heater (hidden under the coils) After removing the rust from the fan mounting brackets and cleaning up I installed the thermostat and did a test run. The fridge worked well. I installed the fridge in my kitchen and it has been working flawlessly. The thermostat was pretty easy to install.

Worked exactly as designed. I imagine because this thermostat must turn on and off multiple times a day for years, it wears out quickly. On my freezer, the top of the thermostat had come off (in picture), so it's a really easy way to know what the problem is before paying more to replace the heater or the timer.
