Could not get my scope to zero. This rail did exactly what it was supposed to do.

This is a fine piece and I’ll be buying more products from this seller to fit some of my other rifles.

Purchased many EGW mounts. ZERO issues with any. Mounted on a Lefty MKii heavy barrel for wife. Prefect fit and with the 20 MOA, she runs 100 yards with ease.

Fit great on my savage. I really only had to lower my scopes crosshairs down 20 moa and im tacking at 50 yards. Never had to adjust left or right. Centered perfectly

EGW makes a good product, but they're overpriced and you really need to do your homework to make certain you're ordering the right part. Gun manufacturers often change the model design after a few years that sometimes involves tapped hole spacing. EGW may offer both the original and newer model parts. Kudos for EGW offering both parts, but their descriptions take very close reading to distinguish the correct part for your gun.

The fit was spot on for my MKII FVSR. Sadly one of the factory bolts was seized in place and totally boned the threads on the way out. Even with 3 instead of 4 bolts it's solid and consistent. The +20 MOA is great, now I can shoot steel at 200 yards without running out of adjustment range on my scope.

Well, this is about the only 20 moa base for the mkII that I could find. The Good: Nicely finished. True 20 moa. Mounted perfectly with included hardware. Large ejection-port cutouts give good access to the breech. The Bad: Why on earth did they make this thing so damn tall. Besides how terrible it looks, plan on having a nightmare of a time finding rings that will get your scope low enough for a good cheek weld. I first mounted a Bushnell elite 6-24x40 AO scope in leupold low rings, and the scope was still a mile high above the barrel, and I had a pretty poor cheek weld even with the high cheekpiece on my Boyd's thumbhole stock. These are about the lowest rings you can find other than the awful weaver brand rings that have the hinged top with flathead screws to hold the scope. Knowing that I couldn't get the scope any lower, I decided to at least use the extra space to mount a scope with a larger objective. I ended up with a Barska Benchmark fixed power 40x50 in leupold 30mm low rings. It's still a pretty high mount, but the gap from the objective to the barrel is acceptable. Just realize that any scope with an objective smaller than a 50mm side focus will look crazy high above the bore axis no matter what rings you use. In short, this rail is just way too tall for almost any scope. I guess if you have a super-high comb on your stock or an adjustable comb this will not matter much, but considering most people shooting a mkII are probably going to put a 32mm or 40mm scope on the gun and don't have a benchrest or silhouette style stock with a super-high adjustable comb, this rail will probably just aggravate most people and make their rifle look and feel very uncomfortable. I only kept this rail because there are literally no other options that I can find. I would recommend saving the money you would spend on this and instead buying a scope with enough adjustment range to get zeroed at your intended distance. You will be able to use whatever rings you want to get the scope at a good height, instead of being forced to buy the lowest possible rings and still have the scope a mile above the gun. If you are building a custom target rig, and are planning on mounting a 50mm or larger scope and have a stock with a very high cheekpiece, then this part will work great as long as you can get past the looks of it.
