This is an incredible little device! Don’t waste your money on traditional can openers with handles or levers—even the high - end one I bought missed spots around the can, requiring prying, bending, etc.—and it was practically an ER visit waiting to happen. This opener has never missed a spot, even on larger, heavier cans. You simply press the button on top, it engages with the can, and does all the work for you!

I had high hopes for this can opener. Unfortunately, we could not get it to successfully and easily work. It required batteries, and the magnet was not very strong. After multiple attempts, we were able to open small (4 and 6 oz cans), as long as they were not too heavy. Finally, this can opener is too expensive, about twice the price of other hand free electric can openers. I would not order again.

I got this even though I have a standing can opener with magnetic lift that works well. In some ways, this is better: it doesn't take up precious kitchen counter space, I find it grips cans more easily, it has some of the same features (effective can opening--the most important to me, magnetic lift, solid construction and parts), and it has a handy lid remover (just a notch, but thoughtful). It takes 4 AA batteries, not included.
