Server is fine. Hard Drive appears Damaged during Installation by Refurbish team.One of the three drives failed within minutes of turning on, removal shows deep scratches, peeling sticker, tool marks. Damage to the HDD Controller board. Has me worried about the quality of the refurbish job on the server itself.EDIT: Adding an additional detail: One of the fans on the server has failed as well.

This review will continue. I just received it today and am starting my review.The server was shipped fast and got here really fast! UPS had an issue delaying it 3 days. Apparently they couldn’t get their truck out in time. So what was to be delivered on a Friday took until Monday to get here. But I ordered it on a Wednesday and it would have been here two days later!Very heavy box! UPS had it weighing 37lbs, which isn’t that heavy, but the size and shape make it difficult to lift. Be prepared for that.I opened the box and the server was packaged VERY well! It could have been thrown around in shipping and not get a scratch. Very impressed with the packaging!The server itself is in great condition. It has minor usage scratches and wear, but very minor. With the packaging, I’m surprised some of the scratches didn’t heal themselves! LolAs others have said, it lists having 3x300GB SAS Drives. Mine came with two drives and 6 open bays. Not a big ordeal as caddies are pretty cheap. Pulling the drives out for inspection they were both 900GB Drives doubling what they needed to fulfill.It came with a total of 12 memory sticks (4GB pc3-8500 ddr3 1066Mhz) with 6 slots left open. I have a bunch of 8GB ddr3 1333Mhz udimm I had planned on adding, but according to HPE’s spec sheet on this, the 48GB is the max. Need to research before I add ram.Otherwise, everything looks great! I have yet to power it up though. That’s where I’ll continue the review. But I’m old and disabled and have to wait until Thursday (4 days from now) before I can get help to move it down to the garage where it’s going to be kept with my other servers. Gonna need a floor to ceiling rack now apparently! Oh the money we spend on hobbies!

Picture showed all bays fill with trays empty or filled. Ad said 3 x HD came with 2 and 6 empty slots 6 missing trays. I have not turn it on yet so don't know if it works yet. Works, Ad said 2 x cpu 2.26 they are 2x2.4 that's a plus. Hd drives sound rough.

Paid 190 with free shipping and received next day from MD to NC in very well packaged shipping box. Received 1X900 instead of 3X300 like advertised but no problem. SAS drives are cheap on amazon. Server is clean, quiet, fast and runs great. Have not tested ilo or raid yet but that is next. Would order again if needed.

Can not give 5 stars due to it only having one (1) 900 Gig HD, not the three (3) 300 Gig HD's. Though I did buy three more 900 Gig HD's on ebay for $100 total. I am running a clean install of Proxmox and looks great. Server was clean and runs without any issues.UPDATE:After nine days of running I am now getting S.M.A.R.T. errors "Imminent Failure" on the one HD installed, I do have three more HD coming today but I wanted to have at least four to be able to set up a RAID, so have to order another one.2nd Update:Upgraded ram to 72Gb for about $40.00 ( 6 X 4Gb ) Upgraded to 8 hard drives at 2Tb each (Very Expensive) for a total of 16Tb setup as RAID 1+0. Currently running Proxmox with 8 OS mostly Linux. Runs Great, just wish I could add a video card to help boot Windows speed.

I did get what was specified in the vague details, but the photo shows 8 bays with caddies. I only received 3 caddies and the 7-8 bays are missing the chassis. It also didn't come with the top backplane. The photo leads you to believe you'd have all 8 bays ready for drives, but you don't.I reached out to the supplier, but have been ignored. I do believe I purchased from a different supplier than other reviewers, as they mentioned having access to support and I've been given no access to any support.
