  • Specially formulated for use in all heavy duty diesel, CNG, and LNG engines, in both stationary and vehicle applications Especially effective in severe-duty service such as vocational and off-road
  • Ready to use Requires no supplemental coolant additive (SCA) additions Contains no phosphates, silicates, borates, amines, or nitrite
  • Has a high boiling point of 375 Degree F and provides low temperature protection to -40F Will not vaporize, eliminating boilover and after-boil Generates low system pressures, prevents coolant loss, and reduces strain on cooling system components
  • Contains no water, effectively eliminating corrosion, wet-sleeve liner and water pump cavitation erosion Minimizes the potential for corrosion and electrolysis issues, and reduces maintenance costs
  • During installation ensure that all of old water-based coolant and water is removed before installing this product.
  • Evans Heavy Duty Coolant contains a bittering agent/contains a bitterant

Evans Heavy Duty Waterless Engine Coolant, EC61001, is the right choice for all heavy duty diesel, CNG and LNG engines, in both stationary and on-road applications. It is especially effective in severe-duty applications where water-based coolants are challenged. Evans Heavy Duty Coolant defends against heat-related damage while allowing the engine to continue producing its peak horsepower. Without vapor formation, pump and wet-sleeve liner cavitation are eliminated, and EGR cooler tubes are protected from heat-induced fatigue which results in tube cracking. Fuel economy improvement and emissions reduction are possible from being able to raise the operating temperature without fear of overheating. When converting an engine from a water-based coolant to waterless coolant, great care should be given during the installation (conversion) process to ensure that all of the old water-based coolant is removed before installing Evans coolant. It is recommended that the system be flushed with Evans Prep Fluid, EC42001, prior to installing any waterless coolant. When the installation is complete, the water content of the coolant should be no more than 3 percent. If the water is above that limit, the coolant will perform no better than water-based antifreeze. Product contains a bittering agent. Evans Heavy Duty Coolant contains a bittering agent/bitterant.

Only coolant I will use in my 03 Freightliner Colombia, no pressure, corrosion, it is waterless!

I used this coolant in a Cummins ISX diesel engine for less that a year (about 9 months) this coolant does not have any corrosion inhibitors to speak of. All six new liners were covered in rust inside the blocks coolant chambers. This engine was rebuilt and this coolant was used from the beginning until I stared having problems and switched to conventional coolant. Don't use this coolant for big diesels unless you want to have issues in the not so long run.

Would not work with aluminum radiator, continued to heat up on my h3t and would not stabilize temp.

I have an old Kabota tractor that did not have a water pump, worked by convection only! In Texas this did not work. Put in Evans and the tractor runs like a top, with no boiling, even after stopping. Couldn't be happier!

I drive in the mountains a lot and wanted to run my 2011-Prostar with Zero coolant pressure (I vented the overflow tank) to help prevent possible EGR cooler failures due to constantly changing coolant pressure, and this stuff did the trick. What I didn't expect was better fuel mileage, A slightly quieter engine, AND about 30% better cooling capacity. I did not do the 'thermostat resistor' mod at all. i just flushed out my old coolant, used 3 extra gallons of this stuff in a 'pump-up' garden sprayer to flush the coolant lines out, then filled my truck with this stuff. Instantly, I noticed a quieter engine, and later, climbing cabbage with 32,000 lbs in my trailer, I noticed my engine fan cycled only one time vs 5 or 6 times with regular coolant. This stuff just simply works better than any other coolant out there, and should be in every truck these days. I have since put it in my toyota pickup at the house with similar results.
