My slim client does not have an optical drive. Although many things can be downloaded online and stored using cloud services, having a drive is very useful. This Blue Ray external drive does it all. It can play CDs, DVDs, and Blue Rays...it also records data for extra storage. It is lightweight and was easy to install - my laptop discovered it immediately. It runs quietly and reads quickly. It can be connected using USB or USBC so it is versatile and comes with the needed cable. It's been flawless and fantastic. Just ensure your device is blue ray compatible by using the Cyberlink BD&3D Advisor tool to test it.
