I bought this to replace the original, dimming bulb in my Mitsubishi WD-60C10 after a recent DMD chip replacement, hoping to restore this TV to its former glory. Instead, I got five minutes of hope before everything went full-blown chaos mode. After just a few minutes of use, this thing started flashing green, like my TV was trying to communicate with aliens. Then came the weird whirring noises from the back, as if the bulb itself was crying for help. This is supposed to be a simple plug-and-play replacement, but NOPE - this hunk of low-quality aftermarket garbage didn’t even come with captive screws.I regret everything. Total buyer’s remorse. I won’t cheap out again—OEM bulbs only from now on. If you value your sanity, DO NOT BUY THIS!

Came home from vacation to find the lamp in my Mitsubishi 60" DLP TV (model WD-60638) had a failure (solid red light indicator next to the power button, according to the manual). Went with this because (admittedly) it was cheap and Amazon offered same day delivery. Replacing the bulb is fairly simple and straight forward. If you know how to use a screwdriver, you can replace a damaged bulb.In any case replaced the failed lamp with the replacement received from Amazon. Closed and secured the door to the housing, plugged the television back in and turned it on. Noticed immediately the picture was not as bright as with the OEM bulb that came with the television. A little darker than I was expecting but assume that was okay, I'll customize the settings later to get it back to my liking. Television is always left in "natural" mode as a reference. In any case after about 30 - 40 seconds, the color on the screen started flashing and changing colors. I hear a squeaking sound from the back of my television and the TV throws a code on the LCD indicator and powers itself off.I unplug the television, rechecked to ensure the connection of the lamp assembly inside the housing was secure (which is was). Plug in the television once again and turn it on. Same result, after a few seconds, color on the screen goes haywire, television throws a code and turns itself off. This time I go to the back of the set and I smell a hint of melting/burning plastic. I didn't see any damage but was enough for me to determine not to try to continue making this bulb work. Will return it as soon as possible. I put the failed OEM lamp back in the housing for now and turned on the television. Lamp is still defective however it's not causing the color wheel to squeal leading to a false color wheel failure indicator light. As far as packaging I feel instead of being sent a new lamp as purchased I may have been sent one that was ordered by another customer and then returned. I state this as while the outside of the box looked brand new and sealed when I opened the package I noticed the lamp itself was not in the protective plastic wrapping. In fact the wrapping was torn open (like someone angrily ripped it open) and the smaller bag that contain the screws to hold the lamp in place inside the television was also ripped and the screws were rolling around freely inside the box. Further more the cardboard container to hold the lamp in place inside the box was also torn/damage laying flat on the bottom of the box in obviously no shape to hold the lamp assembly in place inside the container. One last thing that makes me think this was a used item that was sent to me instead of a new one is that at the top of the lamp assembly I noticed a considerable nick in the plastic casing of the lamp housing. To me that indicates some kind of previous damage with the item shipped to me. It's always a "buyer beware" situation anytime you try an off-brand item. The lure of a less expensive item and the prospect of getting my television up and going in the same day got me hooked. In the end I didn't end up with my television working again and I'm still without it. I will be looking into a more reputable (and expensive) product to replace the failed lamp in my DLP.

I purchased this back in 2016 after the lamp when out on my tv (bought used/cheap and was already showing signs of needing a new lamp) and it lasted over 4 years on my game room tv. My kids and myself put a lot of time on it over the last few years so I feel like I got my money's worth and get to keep going.Install / replacing the lamp is simple. 1 screw on the plastic cover on the back of the tv, covering the lamp, and 2 screws holding the lamp in place. I had no issues on the 1st replacement I bought, however on this (2nd) one, I had to go back and make sure it was prest all of the way in. Either the connection on my tv was dirty or I didn't press it in hard enough. I cleaned out as much dust as I could, and then gave the lamp a few taps on the back with the butt of my screwdriver and got another turn out of the screws holding it in place.

Update still working and the picture looks the same as it did the day I installed it. Great purchase!!I highly recommend this.. I had thrown my old tv out (65 inch Mitsubishi) to buy a new one. it sat on my porch for 2 days before I decided to go on amazon to see if they even sold this. I wasn't even sure it was my issue but worth the chance for a $28.00 fix. It arrived in 2 days and the best part is it only took me about 10 minutes to change it out. I didn't even need help from the hubby! (You tube video). Wear gloves so you don't damage the lamp with oils from your fingers. I am ordering a back up just to have an extra one. Worth the money!

Update: This bulb has died after more than 2.5 years. For the price, I am purchasing another to replace it.I purchased this as a replacement bulb for my Mitsubishi WD-60C10. I can confirm that it works! We never realized how washed out looking and faded the old bulb was prior to it burning out. The new bulb is bright and the colors are vibrant. The original bulb that came with the TV was made by Osram, and lasted roughly 6 years of frequent use. The original Osram bulb is visibly better made than this generic replacement part. You can even see evidence of this in the plastic housing as well as the internal structure of the bulb itself. That said, this cheap knockoff is under $40, instead of $90+ for an OEM replacement, and seems to be doing the job nicely after one month of solid use.

When my husbands lamp went out on his tv we were sweating bullets thinking we were going to have to replace it. But he discovered he only need replace the lamp so we went in search of one and found an affordable one here. At first we were worried they weren't going to get it when the delivery date said which we paid extra for because the site said they hadn't shipped it the day after it was supposed to be shipped. But no sooner did I start to panic...SHIPPED appeared and a day later we were holding our new lamp. Now the tv is fixed and it actually looks Better than it did before the other lamp blew. Its bright and the screen is clear. So thank you Very much for the light. We'll be shopping from your page again!
