This brush works wonders on both my dog and cat! I would say it is a great value for your money! And very easy to clean up. It easily removes loose fur and keeps shedding under control. The dual-length teeth are super effective and gentle on their skin

Summer is almost here, and the fleas are back with a vengeance. No amount of monthly meds or over the counter sprays (for the house and yard) work to get rid of fleas completely, and it's always so frustrating. And it's always necessary to do regular flea combing, to help alleviate my guy's itching. These combs work well on my 60lb lab, and are one part of keeping him and the house clean and free free.

Just got it today and have only used them once but that was enough to know I’m glad I got these combs! Found one stray flea and got a lot of excess hair off my cat. I’ll definitely be using them regularly and highly recommend!

I have 3 cats, all with wildly different coats. The youngest has very dense medium-long fur that can be brushed, but flea combs/combs with tight tines seems to be more effective than any of the other 20+options we've tried (seriously, they have more brushes & combs than I do!), but it's difficult to get all of the hair & gunk out of them, so I was excited to see a push clean option.Unfortunately, while the concept is great, the execution leaves a little to be desired. The yellow comb with all long tines has a smooth, easy to use plunger system, however it doesn't remove all of the hair from the comb. The green comb with long & short tines, however, is not at all smooth to use and seems to have a loud, squeaky spring in it that makes the plunger more difficult to use. It kind of feels like it's skipping off the tracks, which is disappointing. It's also doesn't push 100% of the fur off of the comb.If they correct the issue with the plunger/spring on the green comb, and narrow the opening on the part that pushes the fur down & off the comb, this could be a fabulous 5 star product.

These combs are great for getting out tangles, small debris, and fleas from your pet's coat. Our youngest cat sometimes gets dried food stuck on her face, so these combs are the perfect size to get the small crumbs off as compared to taking a whole brush to her face. While we have not encountered fleas yet this year, it is bound to happen with how often the dogs go for walks in the woods. These combs get through the dog's thick coat and the cat's short hair alike. By getting to the base of the hair and gently brushing away unwanted things from their fur, it is a painless and effective option for our pets. These are sturdy combs that get the job done! While the self cleaning feature is nice, it feels a bit clunky and awkward. In order to press the button, I have to change how I hold the comb altogether. With only one row of teeth, it feels redundant to press a button to gather the hair since there was no where for it to get stuck in the first place.Overall, the combs are as described and are a cost-effective option especially if you are looking for your first flea comb!

Good Value. They included a plastic storage case. I was expecting something a bit cheaper and flimsier for the price they were selling for, but these feel fairly sturdy. They are lightweight, but not flimsy. The comb teeth and handle feel strong, I wouldn't expect those to break very easily. The button to clean the combs teeth works smoothly enough to push the hair off. It is spring loaded, so the button pulls itself back in place, that could be a possible failure point in the future, works well now though. I tried both combs out on some of our cats. They are a bit bulky for small animals, sometimes you need a smaller comb for use around the face and head. These may be better suited for combing larger dogs. But they did work well for our cats. I got lots of hair off our longhair who is starting to shed. It was much easier to clean the hair off these combs than it was with the old brush. Our cats don't currently have fleas, so I'm not sure how effective they'll be at catching fleas. The spacing between the teeth of the yellow comb looks about like the spacing of one of our old flea combs that always works well, so the yellow one should work well for fleas.

Flea comb - 4 stars (meets my expectations)I have 6 furry pets in my household, so fleas are a fact of life we have to deal with from time to time. Flea baths alone don't kill the eggs, and I can't reasonably bathe my pets every day, so it's helpful to have flea combs as part of my treatment routine to comb out eggs and adult fleas in-between treatments.PROS: This product is a great value, as you get two combs in a nice little hard plastic storage case for a very reasonable price. They can be cleaned in water without rusting, and they have a convenient button you can push to remove fur and debris from the comb in one step. The tines are set finely enough that fleas won't easily slip through, but the brush is still easy to comb through pets' fur.CONS: There were no instructions included to indicate what the specific function is of the green brush, which has varying-length teeth that are a bit wider set. I'm still glad to have both, but I wish I knew what that one is specifically meant to do. Also, this is a bit picky of me, but I wish the button to clean the combs was set a little lower. I have a hard time reaching the button with my thumb if I'm gripping the handle, and otherwise it's hard to get leverage to push it without blocking the part that comes out to push off the hair.Overall, this is a nice product for dealing with fleas on your pets. The product description mentions lice as well; I can't see why this couldn't also be used for people to treat lice!
