Not the correct item for the Mercury Motors. No give, will break with any kind of hit.

Anyone that owns or has owned a boat knows that you need to have replacement parts handy for when something breaks, because it just happens (when I got my first boat, someone told me that "boat" is an acronym for "Bust Out Another Thousand"). I got this to have on hand as a replacement because my current hub assembly is about 6 years old.It seems to be well-made and comes as part of a kit (complete with a washer, nut, etc.). I tested it in my spare prop, and it fits like a glove. (I had to buy the spare after my original one got banged up on a rock and needed to be sent off to be machined. I used the spare during that two-month stretch. Now, I always take my spare with me when I go fishing, so I just put this hub kit in the box with it.) For the price, and considering how hard it's been to find boat parts over the past few years, this is a nice back-up to have on hand.

These are good kits. They look and work just like the original manufacturer and I found them just when I needed them. Great to keep on hand in case your prop gets damaged.

I picked this hub up to have as a spare for our Mercury outboard engine. Last year we had a prop spin the hub out while on the water and let me tell you it was no fun getting towed by a friend 8 miles up stream to the dock. Now if that issue ever happens again I have a spare to easily fix the issue right there and be back on the water in 15 minutes or so.This is a complete hub assembly with brass hardware, including everything you would need to fix a spun out prop. Props are designed to spin this assembly and not sacrifice your expensive prop. This is also a very easy fix, especially on an outboard where you can get the prop out of the water. The machine work and materials with this kit are quality. I pulled our prop off to verify the spline fit and it fit tight as it should, and the lock nut is the correct threads and pitch.I would highly recommend that everyone carry some spare parts if you are in to any kind of motorsports or boating. You never know when you may need such a small part that is lightweight, compact and easy to carry along for that, "O No" situation and you may be miles from home and alone. A few aluminum nails can even go along way to replace that dropped in the water trolling motor prop pin as a temporary.

I got this hub converter kit as a spare to keep onboard. You never know when you’re going to spin a hub by striking something solid with the prop. The hub has three purposes:*Convert from prop hub to boat/motor prop shaft size and spline count*Soften the shift clunk*Provide relative isolation between prop and gearboxThis hub will fit any prop that is designed for the Flo-Torq II. The black plastic/rubber insert is a little tight going into my new prop. A simple hammer and block of wood will drive it home. You’ll have to do the same should you ever need to remove it.It is difficult to compare the shift clunk directly. When I get around to installing yet another prop, I will compare the shift clunk and report back. The last item – protecting the gear box against prop strikes – is difficult to test. That would be a ‘destructive test’. But you can see from the black plastic/rubber that it should spin if the prop gets stopped abruptly, I just couldn’t compare it to see how well it does that. So, as far as I can tell, this hub kit does its job. It does it for a good price $35 at the time of this review. In fact, the price is good enough for me to just keep onboard as a spare.

This GELADI Hub kit fits my 1998 MERCURY ELPTO100 motor perfectly. It's great to have a spare just in case a prop gets spun off in a lake, and this is the perfect accessory to have on board. I'm impressed with the quality and the fit; it's identical to my OEM hub kit. I'd strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a new hub kit or a spare to keep on the boat just in case.

I ordered this as a spare for my an aluminum, 15-spline, 13-1/4 x 17 propeller. After watching a few videos on proper hub installation, I was able to install the hub kit into the propeller. Basically, the drive sleeve needs to be hammered into the propeller using a rubber mallet. The front thrust washer is then used to set the drive sleeve, once again, using a rubber mallet. Make certain to have the tapered part of the front thrust washer facing away from the propeller. My only issue is that the propeller nut looks to be a bit sloppy. Considering the price, this is a decent value.

I purchased this as a spare for my 115hp Mercury 4-stroke. In looking it over, this seems to be a perfect fit/replacement for my Mercury original. All the parts seem to be as good as original, and I like the locking tab design of this one better than original. I may go ahead and install this during a beach stopover so I can update my review on actual usage vs. just "what it looks like". But it does look as though this is a perfect spare!
