Works well on the 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900. Until the center display diode failed after a month of use. The rest of the display still works, but when in gear 2,3,4,and 5 (the Vulcan doesn’t have a sixth gear, the display for 6) is missing the center slashes. Also if there is an error, it’s supposed to display an F. But since the display is borked in the center it looks like an upside down mirrored “L”

Like most reviewers have already pointed out, it has a significant lag which is very annoying. For a new rider, this can cause allot of confusion and potentially be dangerous.

The purchase was good, but the product has two problems: 1. There is one delay 1 second to show the correct gear; 2. The gears doesn’t ready when we turn on the motorcycle, just after we ride some minutes.

The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. I am satisfied with the operation and it works as described. Due to the fact that this motorcycle doesn't have a gear indicator it only displays the gear change once the clutch is released. I purchased the holder but, didn't end up using. I decided better placement was below the tachometer that I had purchased and installed from Kawasaki Canada.

Works great. I like knowing what gear I’m in. Not sure why the heck it’s not standard on my bike. Easy install and has worked great since I got it.

Fairly easy to install. Instruction didn't really point out where to plug it in on the bike, but after research I found it.2016 Kawasaki Vulcan S Abs plug is right by there battery.Works great, shows your what hear you're currently in after it's been engaged. I bought it to truly know if I'm in 6th great or not. It is a bit hard to see the indicator in direct sunlight, at least where I've position it on the bike.

Please read the entire commentsThe shipment came fast and the install was pretty easy, plug and play. It took a couple of weeks for the calibration to settle to a consistent reporting. After a couple of months of it working fine, it records 1st through 3rd gear fine, the flashes past 4th gear indicator directly to 5 when shifting into 4th gear. Down shifting from 5th to 4th the indicator continues to display 5. It then goes directly from 5 to 3 when downshifting from 4th to 3rd gear. Disappointing that it only worked for a couple of months. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting but makes no difference.I am updating my previous remarks. This issue I experienced was do to the installation of a Speedo corrector I added. After locating the install and setup instructions for the Gear Indicator, it provided instructions for how to reset the gear indicator and let it relearn the gears. I left the original post in place in case someone was experiencing the same thing I did. Resetting is easy, turn the key off and on 6 times while the indicator is counting up to 3 or 4. This will reset the indicator and put it back in learning mode. The issue was not the gear indicator's fault, I caused the issue. This is a good product, I would order again
