good thing I wasn't buying this for the top cap. The top cap was scratched and gouged in many places...the packaging wasn't damaged. it was in very rough condition...don't buy if you are expecting to use the top cap...luckily I just wanted the expanding plug.

The best use for this item is to plug the hole underneath your fork steerer tube. It works very well
