First off, I am not a professional leather worker. I saw this set and have in the past needed curved or thick needles and not had any. Now I do, and I'm pleased with the amount and variety in this set. But until I'm in need of one of these specialty needles, which for me is unusual, I probably won't get daily use of them. That said, this set is lovely in that it comes with a wood & cork needle rest, a wood screw-top needle holder, a couple leather needle threaders that can also be used as a thimble, and a wide variety of sizes and diameters. For occasional crafting or repair needs, this little affordable set is just perfect!

While this includes a good variety of types of needles, none of them are really applicable to my intended use. That will be different for everyone. I would have liked to see more dull pointed needles, which are typically used for leather stitching. Holes are punched into the leather before stitching, so a sharp point on the needle may make stitching harder, or inadvertently scratch the leather. It's easier to feed a round nose needle into an already punched hole.

I ordered this item because I liked the needle case. I also like the cork pincushion, however I wish they also had a needlecase for the curved needles. I can always use a needle threader so those were a nice addition as well.I can't say much about the needle quality. The smaller needles seem easily bent. I took a star away for that reason. The large eyes are good and easy to thread. I didn't really need the curved needles but they seem to be a good quality and function as described.I see that they are on sale at $7.99 and so that's a good value.Overall I can offer a 4-star review.

It was a cool little kit. It has a wide variety of sizes of needles. I was looking for smaller than this kit provided but I worked it so the smallest hook got the job done. It's craftsmanship into the packaging of the straight needle holder was impressive.

Got these for little embroidery craft projects-- nothing too heavy duty. Love the set and find it very handy! Have been able to use it with thin leather and thick corduroy without issue or breakage. Overall a handy set and good value.

I love this sweet wooden needle case! I will be using these needles mostly for sewing handmade book signatures together and other bookmaking crafts. The curved needles will be especially useful. My husband does some repairing of the tarps he uses to cover outdoor equipment. There are more than enough needle sizes for him to choose from. Great selection in this set.
