Easy to assemble. The ends come completely assembled. The back is also completely assembled and is one piece. 4 bolts attach the back to the ends and the 6 slats have a bolt on each end. Some (3) of the threaded inserts were not fulling inserted and cause slight gaps. They are only noticeable if I showed someone exactly where to look.The metal backrest is located behind where the rear legs contact with the ground. Its weight and position make it very easy to tip the bench over backwards when sitting down, if you hold onto it instead of the armrests. Otherwise, the bench is sturdy and has a solid feel. Since it takes about 5 pounds to tip it over backwards when no one is sitting on it, I couldn't give it 5 stars.The paint coverage is good, but appears to be very thin. I scratched it when it bumped the steel gate that leads to my swimming pool.The seat itself is contoured and was comfortable the little time I sat in it. It was freezing today, so only sat in it for a few minutes.

The porch bench provides very comfortable seating. The slats are well-spaced and don't cause any discomfort. I can spend hours on this bench enjoying the scenery.

Cleaning this outdoor bench is easy. A simple wipe down with a damp cloth is all it takes to keep it looking clean and new.
