Cute bench. Easy to assemble except the screws are a bit difficult; we stripped two. Also, the interior bag is NOT waterproof. After a recent rain, I cut a hole in the bottom to drain the water out of the bag. I left the bag in though bc I think it does provide some protection...maybe

Using what looks like the same design and identical price. I chose this due to customer reviews that were mostly better than the others.1. Bench was well packaged and easy to remove. The styrofoam blocks came in handy with assembly.2. Wood is nicely finished and sturdy.3. Although the assembly pictures could be better, it is fairly easy to follow.4. Here is the “ BUT” part. The large screws use an Allen wrench (2 are included). Some went in easily but not all. So I sprayed the hole with silicon and put Vaseline on the screws which I think necessary. It was so hard to turn the screw that it striped the hole in the screw necessitating purchase of alternative screws. This happened on 3 of the 8 and incurred an additional $3 cost. The new screws had standard Phillips head and much easier to use.5. All done…looks great…I like the mechanism that keeps the lid open. I suggest buying a cushion, it is a hard sit.

Two issues easily remedied. 1) The instructions are incorrect as they have you installing the back upside down, but a dose of common sense tells you that the hinges should be on top. No problem. 2 The wood arrived split on the seat...disappointing. I reached out to the seller, received an immediate response, and a commitment to send a replacement seat, which arrived within a week. Under normal circumstances, I would have given a lower score for these two issues, but their customer service was outstanding and that is important to me. Mistakes happen. How a company handles those issues tells me about their character and integrity. As far as those complaining about not being waterproof, they never claimed the product would be waterproof. "Our outdoor bench with storage is equipped with a removable and waterproof liner which protects items inside from damp and dust." I am going to fabricate a liner to make it nearly waterproof.

I love the bench. It came together easily. Rather sturdy. Exactly what I needed. The "waterproof" liner it comes with, however, is absolutely NOT in any way waterproof. The whole thing fills with water every time it rains which is rather disappointing because it was a feature important to me in the description.
