I was looking at replacing just the fan for the meat/beverage/deli areas but GE doesn't sell just the fan but the whole plastic panel which includes the fan. This one worked out great! Since the insulation is new it is a little hard to fit in but once the screws are tightened it pulls the plastic in where it should be.....as I said I wanted to only replace the fan ( I was able to find the exact fan without the connector from another source) but once I took the old panel/fan assembly out of the refrigerator I found it to be water logged and twice as heavy as the new one. It also had a small amount of mold starting in the insulation.....So I am happy I replaced the entire assembly and it is very quiet.Note: to test the fan you need the control panel connected, the new assembly connected but not installed (so you can see the fan) and change the cooling from one setting to another to get the fan to operate for a short time...ex: hit the "Deli" option and then hit the "Meat" option....the fan should start for a few seconds and then stop.The review that supposedly shows the fan blocked by the insulation is wrong......you cannot see the fan through the vent, only the styrofoam as the fan is NOT directly behind the vent but above it which is correct.It is extremely easy to replace this part.....9 screws with a hex head.....you do need an extension for the socket. The longest part is emptying/loading the food section and shelves from the refrigerator. Should take about 15-30 minutes the first time.... there are many youtube videos showing the replacement of this part.

This cover was a complete unit, with the small fan included with the package. The unit was in better shape than what came on the original installation.
