I own a couple of these for a canon. I since upgraed to a sony. so I bot a third for the sony. I like that these are either controled by the R2 controller or by the TT685. very good and very reliable. been using this model for a couple of years now. I use mine with rechargeables.

This unit is so flexible and adaptive it is like a Swiss Army knife of flashes. I have only two complaints. First and most important is the lack of printed documentation and what there is requires a magnifying glass To see its incomplete information, and what documentation there is requires that you know basically how to use the unit before the documentation makes sense. This problem is relieved by a plethora of YouTube videos - but be careful to choose the ones specific to the Sony unit. My second issue is that the hotshoe connection needs to be attached more securely to the unit - it can get damaged by even small impacts.
