One of the best camera purchases I have made through the years. I always wonder how things will work out if they're not the big name brand but this was probably the best flash I've ever had and much better than the name brands. Highly recommend.

I use the xpro transmitter paired with the ad200 and ad600 for 75% of my shoots. I’m used to quickly turning off other flashes via the mode button. However when using this flash in transmit mode while mounted in the hot shoe, I can’t figure out how to quickly disable other flashes in different groups. The only way is to spin the dial until it reaches off. It’s a really annoying but since I shoot real estate it’s not the end of the world. If I shot events or weddings this would be a deal breaker. Other than that, it’s my favorite hot shoe flash.

For years I've been shooting real estate with a sony body & a canon flash..in order to manually control the flash unit. Needless to say, I've become heavily invested in AA batteries. This is a quality flash unit for those looking for manual control. I recently purchased the Godox V850III Flash Camera Flash Speedlight & have been extremely impressed with its performance. The flash is highly powerful & is capable of delivering fast & accurate exposures even in challenging lighting conditions.One standout feature of the V850III is its high-speed sync capability, which allows you to synchronize the flash with your camera's shutter at speeds up to 1/8000s. This is incredibly useful for freezing fast-moving subjects or for capturing action in bright, high-contrast scenes.Normally I go through at least a set or two of AA batteries during the day's shoots. So I was impressed to not have to charge the V850III to keep up with my daily workload. It even has a sleep mode, something which my original canon flash lacked. Great for when you're an idiot & forget to turn off your flash draining your batteries while you drive to your next shoot.The flash also has a number of other quirks & features, including a built-in diffuser & reflector, a large backlit LCD screen for easy navigation & control, & a range of custom functions & settings that allow you to fine-tune the flash to your specific needs. One thing that I didn't enjoy was the hot shoe locking mechanism..the quality was fine but I've gotten a ken to the mechanism on higher priced Speedlight which is faster & more convenient to lock in. For this price, you really can't complain too much.Overall, I highly recommend the Godox V850III Speedlight to anyone in need of a powerful & reliable flash at a great price. It has exceeded my expectations in every way & I'm happy to say it's become part of everyday carry kit.

Battery last forever! To be completely honest I was sceptical at first and hesitated to purchase this one. But then finally I’ve decided to pull the trigger and I wasn’t disappointed. This small flash it’s a little powerhouse. I’ve tested on my canon Eos R and on Sony camera, works equally good. Now this one does not have a TTL function. That was another thing that was holding me from buying. But what I’ve discovered: manual settings making you a better Photographer. You don’t have to be in mercy of TTL anymore😁. anyway, I really like this speed light a lot. It has a nice big screen with the numbers. Display is very bright And the battery last forever. Like on six hour shoot I didn’t even change this but I was flashing a lot because it was a nighttime. but it’s a good idea to purchase a second battery just in case. But you can get away with having only one. I highly recommend this Flash to anyone who is doing photography professionally or for hobby. Settings very easy and work right out of the box. I’m considering purchasing another one to pair with my second camera. Price is right quality is good and it’s working like a charm. Cheers and happy shooting!

In case you’re wondering, it WILL work with your Sony cameras. I’m using it on my A7IV right now. It’s so nice to have a flash that’s more focused on manual control.I’m a Sony user and I wanted a flash without all the fancy TTL stuff built in. I need to have easy manual control of my flash. Though I have the 860 models, those are for more complex shoots. THIS flash is for when I need simplicity and speed.The LCD is more basic than my Godox 860, but I appreciate that. It’s an easier ‘go-to’ on camera flash, with the power setting front and center. But, it still can do HSS when used with the Godox TTL compatible trigger.Messing around with the settings, I did see the Master and Slave option on the flash, so just like most of Godox flashes, you can sync other flashes to this one.I was impressed with the cycle time. It’s almost no time between flashes.The battery is tiny, but has an impressive amount of shots available to it. Note, it is a smaller battery than the 860 models, and comes with i’s own charger.Along with the flash, battery, charger and soft case come a couple accessories.The kit comes with a little fabric diffuser. I usually prefer the plastic ones that are form fitting. This one’s a little fiddly to get on, but does a good job of diffusing the light. There’s also a Velcro gel filter holder and a bunch of gels that come with it. The colors included are more for ‘artistic’ use, and you may want to get some specifically for white balance correction.Obligatory cat photo, where I bounced the flash off of my ceiling. Looks great!
