I didn't know much about flash photography but since I got me 2 I had to learn. Once I figured it out I can say these lights are great. Just gotta have line of sight if u setup master and slave to use both during trigger. So many options to use this flash. Still learning more and more with each use.

I'd previously been using the Godox TT685s and needed a second unit once I'd bought a second identical full frame Sony. I shoot primarily weddings for a living (not so much this year...) so having a back-up of most items is a necessity. I loved the TT685s but there were often times I'd be dipping out to grab a fresh set of AA batteries, and therefore potentially missing shots - so I decided to give the V680iis a try. This speedlight is ideal for single-flash portrait & product set-ups. In testing I've noticed the V860iis is roughly half a stop brighter than the TT685s (see nectarine photos), as well as a quicker recycle time by around half a second at full 1/1 power - otherwise they look and feel identical. They also both work on the same wireless system, so you could either use one on-camera and the other as a wireless slave, or I'd fully recommend the X1s remote trigger to control them together or separately in different groups.High-speed sync is a wonder for faster-moving subjects. LCD display is easy to read and easy to navigate after a couple of uses - if you've used another Godox speedlight in the last few years, you'll already know what's what. Build quality is solid - I've dropped the TT685s a few times and never noticed a dent. The battery is a beast and could easily last me a full wedding/corporate event, with the TT685s there as a back-up if I need to switch quickly.I have no need for any coloured filters or the diffuser cap, though it's always nice they're included. Simple case and foot mount as with any other Godox flash - nothing special but do their job well. Couldn't happier with either the product or the results I've had from it. 5/5 would recommend.

This Little compact Speedlight flash is AMAZING! It has a lot of power and everything I need. It beats the original Sony Speedlight in every aspect and it has the best value for money you can get. I do a lot of food/product photography and this flash is the only tool I need to achieve great lighting in every scenario. It works perfectly with my Sony a7iii with the Godox Xpro remote trigger. The light has a great color that blends perfectly with daylight scenarios. I love that it also has high-speed sync so that I can capture dynamic shots!Best Speedlight on the market, hands down!

The Godox V860II is an amazing speedlite. I purchased this speedlite to pair with my Sony a6400 and it works perfectly. I have been using this flash for almost a month and I just love how this light makes my subjects look. Just mount the flash in your hot shoe and you are ready to take some great photos.I am more of a video guy and I do not do a lot of photography. I work a lot during the day so most of my photos are taken at night. Since I started using the Godox V860II, I have been taking a ton of photos. I just love how this really helps fill out the light and makes my subjects just pop off the background. This speedlite gives you some really soft light and it is super powerful but not overpowering. I love that you can use this light as a slave and have it off camera. This helps create some interesting shadows on your subjects. The downside is that you would have to buy a remote trigger or use another flash as the master. It has a huge sensor that helps give you some accurate flash times if you use this flash off camera. The Godox V860II is pretty big as it is about 1.5x as big as my entire Sony a6400 setup. I have also had a little trouble, and I do mean a very small amount, taking this out of my hot shoe. It goes in very snug and does bump into my eye viewfinder when pulling it out. When mounted the flash fits perfectly. This flash is really heavy, but it feels solid and well built.I have also included pictures from my unboxing and all the items that came with this purchase. I was really surprised to receive a mounting bracket for a light stand so you can use this speedlite as an off-camera flash. It was nice that a white cap was included for the end of the flash as that helps defuse the light and act as a softener. Receiving both of these 2 extras was a nice little touch that I was not expecting.I really think this speedlite is well worth the money. Depending how much I use it and get more into photography, I may pick up a 2nd one to use as a fill light. I was really impressed with how fast it arrived. The shipment arrived days before it was supposed to which was very appreciated.

The Godox V860II-S is a fantastic aftermarket Speedlight designed for Sony APS-C and Full Frame mirrorless cameras. Very reliable since I've owned 2 other Godox flashes for my Sony A7R3 and A7III, I added this flash unit because now I have limited access to my home studio in Miami since I'm in NJ and this Coronavirus pandemic has restricted everyone's travel. The V860II-S has some very very desirable features found only on high-end flash units that I absolutely love using:1. Sony High-Speed-Sync, up to 1/8000s - The high-speed sync is extremely useful if you shoot outdoors a lot, or would love to utilize a shallow depth of field during bright outdoor situation, the HSS allows you to use a much faster shutter speed compared to camera's X-Sync speed which is usually less than 1/250th. If you don't have HSS you must use nd filter to bring the exposure down to get the same shot.2. Wireless Commander unit build into the flashlight itself - The Godox 2.4ghz wireless triggering system is powerful and easy to use. The V860II-S can work as a commander flash powering 2 more groups of flashlights, with itself working as a fill flash when mounted on top of the camera's hot-shoe. Or you can simply mount it off-camera using the included Godox Bowen adapter for off-camera flash working as a slave unit. Super-versatile3. The rechargeable Li-ion battery can fire 650 shots in full 1:1 power with 1.5 sec recycle time. And this is actually a very powerful flash so, during normal use, the flash rarely uses 1:1 power and recycles instantly, which means one battery will last you through a full day of shooting. (but I always carry a backup battery just in case!) It's like having 8 AA batteries in the camera, but the li-on battery is also quite light so it saves weight as well. Charging is through the quick charger included which charges the 2000mah battery full in just a few hours. With sony's own flash units costing over $399/$599, you are either missing the commander or the benefit of lithium battery or the powerful flash output that the V860II-S provides, so to me it's a no brainer getting this flash and put it right into work! This particular flash unit also comes with a gel kit for creative effects, which I did not test but non-the-less is included in the sale so no complaints there.I love this flash unit and would highly recommend it for all Sony users!
