This is one of those items that you need when you cook on the stovetop. I use this with my cast iron pan and searing steaks. It helps keep the splattering down 90%+The handle cover on this splatter guard is also nice and comfortable. I have a second one of these with no handle cover but i prefer this version.

I can never have too many splatter guards like this in my kitchen as an avid cook! This stainless steel guard is an ideal size at 13” to fit the majority of my pans. The handle has a comfortable grip and the mesh of the guard itself is a tighter weave, so it works really well, no pops of hot oil getting through it. It’s also dishwasher safe and that’s always convenient versus hand-washing tools like this. It has the usual tripod design with feet to keep it elevated on the countertop. Seems a good quality splatter guard for the price!

This is a well-made and effective splatter screen. As others have mentioned, it seems sturdier than others I have used. I also like the support feet so that you can set it down without making a mess. Recommended.

This was a replacement for a 10-year old splatter screen. The screen was coming off on our previous one so I knew it was time to replace it.This was a pleasant surprise in many ways. It's very sturdy - the metal ring is thicker than my previous one. The inner mesh is also thicker and will likely not tear as easily. It also has a solid handle, my previous one was flimsy and bent easily. This one is solid. It also has two additional metal pieces across the center that stabilize it.The one downside is that you can really only use one side - since the metal pieces go across the center, you can only use the other side. My previous one didn't have these, so you could use either side. This isn't a big deal, and I would much rather have a sturdy screen where you can only use one side.This is a high quality, well-made screen that will likely last a long time. Highly recommended!

I have had a few of these splatter screens and this is by far the most sturdy. Others have been a bit flimsy and flexible, and the screen eventually tears away from the frame. I can't imagine that this one would have that problem, it will likely last you forever.The description says it has support feet, which you can see in the picture. I assumed that they were to help keep the screen from sliding off the top of a pan but the description says "The cleverly designed support feet of the oil splatter guard can serve as a barrier to prevent oil splashes, effectively keeping the kitchen clean " - this makes no sense to me.They do keep the entire screen from contacting the counter if you put it down.It works as well as any to help keep splatter down while letting moisture an steam escape - great for taming a bubbling pot of soup or spaghetti sauce as well as for sauteing or frying.Bottom line, obviously not a high tech item and others would do the job, but it is very high quality and should last forever.

I love this splatter proof guard! It is much more sturdy than others I have had. I like the cross bars that help to protect the screen when straining grease, juice, etc from cooking. Also is large enough to prevent grease splatter in any large frying pan. I would recommend to anyone.

Seems to be identical to the name brand Amazon's #1 Choice item for splash screens as I right this (company name with syllables starting with B and K). Within pennies of that price. I washed it and used it tonight for bacon. Does what it's supposed to do. Sturdy.I rate 4 stars for items that meet all claims, subtract stars for failed claims I find and add stars for exceeding my expectations. If it had been $3 cheaper than the Amazon's #1 it could have been 5 stars.

Compared to other splatter guards I already own, this one has a thicker/heavier duty frame and handle. That contributes to a slightly higher price but I suspect it’ll be much longer lasting. The handle does not get hot which is also a plus. Even though it’s dishwasher safe, the height of it interferes with the dishwasher propellers. Overall, I definitely recommend.
