I love this microwave cover. It is so easy to pop it up and have it stick to the interior ceiling while removing a plate of food. Such a minor item, but such a great idea by whoever created this product. My kids like it as well.One important item to note is that it needs to be removed from the ceiling interior while the microwave is in use. I was hoping to use this to stop my husband from leaving the microwave dish cover on the counter after he microwaved his mug of coffee to re heat it. It's a daily argument since he always forgets to place the microwave dish cover back into the microwave when he's done reheating his coffee. One time he forgot the cover stuck to the ceiling while his coffee re-heated and I guess the cover blocked airflow and interfered with the microwave functioning and caused his coffee to overflow and create a mess.

This splatter cover is lightweight, protects your microwave from splatters, easily stores via the magnets on top of the cover and very easy to keep and get clean. The cover has built in vents, so you don't have to worry about "explosions" accidentally occurring. It fits over most plates and would fit on the rest, that you want to heat. The top of the cover has indentations making it very easy to grab. The cover itself does not seem to get hot, but does allow for your food to heat up; which makes handling it a breeze. The only two very minor downsides with splatter cover are 1) You cannot close and open the vents, they are always open and 2) at least with my microwave, due to a circular heating disk build into the microwave right above where the turning plate in the microwave is, I really cannot keep this cover stored right above the turning microwave plate. Not a biggie, as I can keep is attached over the turning plate to the very left, under the microwave (as it's located above the stove) and/or attached to the refrigerator.

This microwave splatter protector simply works, it's easy to use, easy to clean, offers a large space, easily stores away and definitely contains splattering within its dome.The splatter protector is easy to use and covers an area about the size of a standard paper plate. Directions for use are simple you just put it over the food that you're going to heat up and then heat it up as usual/directed. After your food is done heating up wait about 15~30 Seconds so that the heat and steam can escape from the dome with the vents at the top of it. Caution should be taken when removing the splatter protector off of heated food, the steam is very hot and might burn you.Storage for the splatter protector is quick and easy, the magnets on top of the unit allow you to store the protector within the microwave itself, WHEN NOT IN USE. The directions of use specifically say not to leave the unit attached to the microwaves ceiling if it is not being used to heat up food. As for cleaning the splatter protector it's very easy to do so, all one must do is hand wash it or put it in a dish washer; either of those options is a lot better, and easier, than cleaning out the microwave.There's not really anything that I can see being any potential issues with this splatter protector, it does work as intended as long as it is being used correctly. The only thing that one might consider is that children (if allowed to use the microwave) will have to told to be slightly more patient once the timer has stopped, only to avoid burns from the steam and not to remove the unit if it's not planning on being used.Overall, this splatter protector is a great thing to have and definitely contains the otherwise splatter mess that would be in your microwave. The only thing to keep in mind, is to remove it when not planning to use it and to wait a bit for the steam to dissipate after heating up food.

So, I ordered this magnetic microwave plate cover because I'm lazy and cleaning cooked on mess in the microwave is a pain. If I see the mess before it dries, I'll wipe it off (I'm not a total savage!), but I don't always notice until its dried on. I have a different plate cover that was not magnetic but I wound up rarely using it because finding someplace to store it took up valuable real estate in my kitchen and I got tired of always having to drag it out from wherever it was stored. This new cover is held by the magnets nicely at the top inside my microwave and all I have to do is pull it down to cover the plate. For an average size or large microwave, the cover fits in easily without issue. I'm not sure how well it would work in a small microwave so your mileage may vary. It doesn't get hot while it's being used and at $19.93 at the time of order, it was a good value for the money. Other plate covers that I looked at were several dollars higher, some even to the point of, "Are you kidding me, you want how much for that...?!"

Love this. I've used it to cover several dishes. Helps keep microwave clean, dishwasher safe and covers well. Strong magnets adhere well to ceiling of appliance.
