I've noticed it works better if the cans are slightly crushed. A majority of the cans that weren't slighty crushed popped out. It feels very sturdy, crushes them with ease. I had a hard time getting the screws in but hubby took over and it looked simple. Very satisfied

When I was in my early teens, my grandfather had one of these mounted on the back porch. He grew up during the great depression and believed in the full use of everything. Nothing was wasted. We had a trash can under the crusher, so we bagged thousands of aluminum cans annually. He and I would take them down to the recycler and he would tell me the same story over and over about how they used to do the same thing to collect deposits on bottles for recycling. Except with the bottles, most stores would pay you per bottle and you didn't have to collect bulk or take them directly to a recycling company. Those were the days.Honestly, I would have given twice the price for one of these given its historical value to me, so $17 is a great value for the money. Though constructed with lighter materials, it still crushes just as well as his old crusher. This machine will get many years of use at my house, and I will attempt to give the same education to my family.

My boyfriend and I drink a lot of bubble water. We joked about getting a can crusher, but then we saw this and said why not. It’s a good price point, sturdy, and easy to assemble. Saves me from having to throw out recycling as much.

I love it! Although it's easier to crush cans upside down, don't do it! It'll ruin the device. I like the colors too. I got the white one. Notice it has a bottle opener at the bottom. I couldn't wait to mount it but still loving it.

This works as expected but the screws holding to the wall keep coming out. There's also the possibility of fingers getting pinched with the open design. Others I have had have a cover over the crushing area.

I bought this for work so we can fit more cans into the recycling bin. It works just as it should, condensing cans to about a third of their size. It was super easy to hang & it's incredibly easy to use. It works best when you swing the handle down swiftly- it requires less force this way. It's working well, so I would definitely recommend it.

Great metal design that's easy to install and use. It does a great job of crushing the can flat. The kids almost fight trying to be the one that crushes the next can. It was a bit challenging finding a place to mount it in a convenient but out of the way location where the cans would fall straight into a recycling container. I risked it and mounted it on the side of our second refrigerator in our utility room. I tried adhesive, magnets and hot glue first but it kept coming loose. That's when I risked it and just screwed it to the side of the fridge. Lucky it didn't damage or destroy the fridge and it's now nice and secure. This is definitely the best and strongest manualy operated crusher I have seen or used. I had one the was made of plastic and it failed catastrophically after only 2 months. This one looks like it will last a lifetime.
