this items said that fits cavalier 1997 but it doesn't and the treads were damage witch cause fragments when you tight it, that could cause engine damage later.

It fit perfectly and does the job.I bought it for my Crusader-Chevy 350 CID engine.It would be easier if these kits were listed by manufacturer and engine models,rather than by vehicles.I changed my mind about this.The hose barbs that came with this adaptor are too rounded and do not seal.The hose came off once which could have been costly (damaged engine) if I had not noticed it immediately.After cleaning up the oily mess in the bilge,and adding a second clamp,it is again leaking.Because of the location,It is a big job to repair again.If you buy this setup,do not use the included barb fittings.

I ordered two of these from O'Reillys auto parts. Both were defective. Be very careful when you buy one of these setups. On this one, they provide a short nipple to screw the filter onto. This stub is tilted, not perpendicular as it should be, not letting the filter seat properly or fully. the pressures from your engine oil system is HUGE and if your filter is not properly seated, you will have a very expensive repair. In my opinion, buy a different brand. try one from JEGS, I am.This is a bad product.

It sucked. Was uneven and there were chips in the mounting plate.
